Feedback needed and appreciated Right now it's stuck together, but still need my belly morph for the right look. Any tutorials online for making a horse skeleton for the addon? Still need to finish tweaking the addon, naming the polys, figureing out how to make a uv, and skeleton, and then she'll be done.. I think the modelling might be the easy part... Lemme know what I should work on next...

Probably just me, but I'd make the back legs more digigrade (short thigh, tippy-toe look), and then work out a second version with just the hind-quarters (like a faun)? Needless to say, what you've done already is terrific!

Hey, guys? You are aware that Lady LittleFox is working on her own "official" centaurette figure. Check out her site's upcoming section. She's currently christened her "Valentine." Sincerely, Bill

she's working on alot of great characters...it may be 6 months before Valentine hits the MP....:>)

Thanks for the input so far! Wasn't sure about the rear leg proportions, but I can still easily change things. LLF is also working on a mermaid, but there's already a mermaid tail available for free here. Besides, she includes lots of goodies in her packs, so I think that would be the big selling point. I've even condiered offereing her the mesh, and letting her do what she chooses with it.

Hey ;) Looking good! Oh heavens, Have at it. The only thing that I would ever be upset on is a direct rip off of one of my character sketches ;). Your centaur is already significantly different from my stylistic one sketched for Valentine and my girls in my art gallery. Don't worry about it ;) Though if she turns into Briar Rose or Snowflake (My main page centaur in blue) I will throw rocks ;P WRT the design you have, you might want to look at the rear legs like they said. Horse hips/knees/ankles are funny things. If you have a cat or a dog, they can help you some what on the mechanics of how the toe walking works and where the heel vs the knee vs the hip go, and won't generally kick you across a room for making them stretch it out. ;) Hugs, Littlefox

Actually I think the mer-tail is at RDNA. No biggie. Garree, this is STUNNING work! I can't wait to see the finished model! No offense to LadyLittlefox intended, but nobody has copyright on centaurs. (grin) Keep up the amazing work.

Oh, I never meant that you shouldn't do it. I was merely imparting information. I thought knowing LittleFox would eventually release one would save you some effort. However, variety is good. I was in a rush when I posted my first message (I was at work). I guess the intent was misunderstood. My apologies. Sincerely, Bill

I know, NVITWS... but as an artist, and I can really identify with LLF having a "baby" of her own. I've even offered to give her the mesh, and let her do what she would like to with it. We'll see what develops. Modelling isn't hard for me at all, but since I've never set up a bone set yet, or gotten a UV from a model, I've got a ways to go. But to give you an idea of how fast I learn, I started hacking into model morphs just a week or so ago. I have past LW modelling experince, WAY back to 1.0, on my old amiga. Hardest thing?? Learning that the new tools are SO much easier to work with, and gie better results! No more "poly at a time"! YAY! (That still comes in handy though...

Looks great.

Giggles, oh that's cute EricofSD ;) And the point is very true, no one can own the concept of a centaur any more than anyone can own the concept of a Pegasus or a Unicorn. One can only own ones own design concepts there of. Just like I can draw any kind of furry mink I want just so long as I don't draw Minerva Mink and try to sell her. Same concept. Though on an outside note, I do try to keep track of who is doing what for Koshini, not for permission but so that people don't have to announce what they are working on till it's close to completion. They can ask me and see if someone else is already working on it. I'm basically trying to avoid the problem of 14 different people doing a mermaid for Koshini, and they all release within a week of each other not knowing that anyone else was doing it too. Unpleasant for everyone involved when that happens. Littlefox

Hi Garee, Excellent work. She looks real cute ! For my part, I love the kind of hoves that you gave her. I would just make a texture that would make them more look like Koshini's hair. If I can suggest something, I'd like to have the tail more fluffy (like on LittleFox's sketch or like the picture above). These are the favourite toys of my kiddettes and the look would very much compliment Koshini's look. The same kind of texture would be perfect. Now, may be I'm asking too much ? Best wishes. not at all, compiler! maybe I can look at a freebue ponytail mesh that might work.. if not, it'd be a cinch to do. I've already taken some other suggestions.. her legs are slimmer and longer now, and the body is a smaller scale. I was clearing 1/4 acre of bamboo with a chainsaw today, otherwise I'd have worked on it. Course tomorrow is 100% chance of rain! ;)

Compiler I loved those toys too, they are adorable, and pretty similar to what LadyLittlefox will be doing with her centaur figures... so probably good idea for other modelers to create different styles... LLF has had her sketches up at her site for some time... and too.. as a beta tester I can tell you, she works fast - much faster than I do! :) I just cant resist her cutie pies..and so I have to work in beta testing around creating my own critters! LOL! Lyne Lyne's Creations
