The rain will suck until you apply a motion blur. Render the rain separately as it's own file, on a black bacground. Make sure the drops are fairly visble. Then use this animation and composite it over the other scene and apply the motion blurring to the rain layer only (in after effects anyways....) Hope this helps some...

Hi. I'm working on a project that is going to use Bryce as the primary modeler for landscapes in a computer game, and I was wondering how to go about animating rain. Does anybody have any ideas? The cutscene shows a tower admist some rolling hills during a thunderstorm and the camera zooms in a window, then cross fades to the interior of the tower. I have done some animation and know how to handle the camera movements and the lightning and the thunder clouds but i have no idea about the rain. Thank you for your suggestions. :)
