Is just me or does it bear a strong resemblense to Andalgalornis? Terror Birds Standing up to 3 metres tall, with a powerful hooked beak, Andalgalornis and its relatives were truly 'Terror-birds'. these large, flightless birds roamed the South American grasslands between 2 and 62 million years ago - their closest living relatives are the cranes and rails, including the decidedly un-terrifying moorhen. they had strong, powerful legs and could probably run at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour, chasing down the early mammals which were their prey. Among the top predators of their day, they finally died out as the climate warmed, and their grassland habitat was replaced with dense tropical forest."Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will piss on your computer." -- Bruce Graham
Bahh. I entered this thread, hoping to see a render of the new Millennium Cat, tarred-and-feathered. But this is cool, too.
Chocobos, anyone?
BTW, I didn't mean any critism in comparing this little guy to a Terror bird. He is absolutely adorable - I think it was just that glint in his eye that made think of large flightless killer birds. ;-)

I am sure if this adorable little guy doesn't like you he would turn into a "Terror" bird and kick the stuffings out of you with those powerful legs. I personally thought it was pretty neat that you pointed out another use for the model. Thanks, I have bookmarked the reference you posted for the future. I love models with multi uses.
