Ok to make grass I insert a terrain choose render density 1024x1024 and add a bunch of noise then scale down the z. Then in the Texture room I actually use snow and apply a texture map I have to the Bump channel. How does it look and .....well is there maybe a different method to get simular results?

Hey, that is really clever! You should post a tutorial on this and show some step by step instructions. I think you've done a very good job. My only add-on thought would be -- grass is often very translucent, letting any backlight through it with a lighter yellow-green shade. Could you incorporate some transparency to this idea (or do you already)?

The grass looks great, but It looks a little out of scale in comparison to the size of the bricks and baseball.

Hold on...I'm writing that down.... Thanks for the tip, Stacey! Daf

The grass is outstanding! (You must live somewhere wet, though. My impression of grass is much more scraggly and with lots of dirt showing through....) I'd only suggest a little variation in the color. Not every blade of grass is the same color; it should be very subtle, though.... Incredible work, though. It took me some hard thinking to come up with something to improve. - Chip
