Nottingham is a nice place in a nice part of the world...so far so good!....the most important pointer I can give you is to bring twice as much cash as you think you might need...even then it won't be enough. Get a large apartment to live in and loads of the Bryce Brits will come and visit! Bring plenty of thermal underwear or Lincoln Green tights for the winter. Practice your drinking skills and raise your drinking capacity. Most of all!...have loads of fun! Cheers!
I live in Wales..just next door to a little place called England....if you're coming over, don't drink the beer. You yanks just can't handle anything stronger than BUD...LOL (I'm assuming you're a Yank!) (I'm in trouble now.......) Seriously, give me a call when you get here, maybe we'll meet up someplace....

Wonderful place Nottingham. Old buildings, wonderful scenery especially if you get out of town a bit, or down by the river, lots of inspiration for Bryce scenes. I live near London, but used to visit Nottingham regularly. Very friendly people.
The greatest part of wisdom is learning to develop the ineffable genius of extracting the "neither here nor there" out of any situation...."
Ive been to Nott's many times, I've got a lot of friends there. Check out Rock City for a night out, lots of booze, birds, bad music & if you dont get laid there....cut it off. For a good night out drinking go to the Old Angel Pub, great food, great music, great pint of Guinness & you might see a good band there too. Grav.
Anytime I see something screech across a room and latch onto someone's neck, and the guy screams and tries to get it off, I have to laugh, because what is that thing?
I went to Nottingham once....it was closed.......

Anytime you fancy a drinking contest, let me know! I live in Burton on Trent, where all the beer is brewed, probably why everyone looks so ugly. Burton is about 40 minutes from Nottingham, so I've been there a few times. Great city, lots of pubs and a good music scene. Some good record shops too selectadisc, and funky monkey are very good, lots of hard to find stuff. Derby is also nearby, and is worth checking out as well for much the same reasons.

My daughter works at the Nottingham Trent University went there to study and never came home.... nice place though, if you like pubs you must visit "The Old Trip to Jerusalem" built under the castle walls and actually into the caves.

Hey, just found out I've been accepted to do my MA in politics over at Nottingham University. Was wondering if anyone knew the region or was from the Albion and willing ot give a few pointers. I've been in England three or four times before, but only London, and while I remember some parts of it, I was pretty young. So, anyone here a true man in tights or what? =D Mihnea
