It took a little longer than I had planned but this short is now online at one of the links below. It is 3-1/2 minutes long, the figures were animated in Poser and all the rest was done in C4D 7. It's available in several formats but I think the quicktime version turned out the best. The original, uncompressed .avi file is bigger both in frame size and file size (2.2 gigs!)

I first saw this yesterday, there was a link in Freestuff. O have watched it probably at least 10 times already. I even sent the link to a few ppl to check out This is awsome and funny. One of the most entertaining I have seen. I just love her facial expressions and gestures. I totally agree with brandonc you definitely have to enter this in the Daz contest. Keep them coming!!!

BonBonish ( ) posted Sat, 28 June 2003 at 8:43 AM

Thank you for sharing that little piece. The factial expressions are great! Although, I do not know why after about 20 minutes I got just about half of your quickTime animation. It is a great work!

Dejah ( ) posted Sat, 28 June 2003 at 9:08 AM

Very cool work, loved her facial expressions!!!

melanie ( ) posted Sat, 28 June 2003 at 9:01 PM

So far, I've only been able to see about a quarter of it, but it looks great. One question: is there sound? I see the mouths moving, but I don't hear any voices. On my dial-up, it's pretty slow loading. I'll have to try again later. Melanie

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Sat, 28 June 2003 at 9:29 PM

What a nice piece! I love how you worked a bit of "Matrix Motion" in there. And a nice wrestling move...hehe. And, the ending is just icing!

sturkwurk ( ) posted Sat, 28 June 2003 at 10:52 PM

That's fantastic!

I came, I rendered, I'm still broke.

EdW ( ) posted Sun, 29 June 2003 at 12:54 AM

Wish I could see this... none of the links work for me. I keep getting an error message or it times out. Ed

melanie ( ) posted Sun, 29 June 2003 at 10:05 AM

The links don't work for me either. I tried Save Target As for the .mov file (22 megs!) and tried running it, but I'm still getting no sound. The other links give me a Page Not Found error message. I'd sure like to know what they're saying. It looks hilarious. Melanie

gordons ( ) posted Sun, 29 June 2003 at 11:24 AM

Here's the main link for their site: http://e-show.org/media/Animation/animation.htm If the quicktime takes too long, try the realmedia .rm version, which seems to load pretty quickly. Thanks for all the feedback!

nikitacreed ( ) posted Sun, 29 June 2003 at 4:04 PM

ROFLMFAO!! That was great!! I loved it!

EdW ( ) posted Sun, 29 June 2003 at 5:54 PM

Really nice job on this! I really enjoyed it. Now what are you going to do for an encore? BTW thanks for the direct link. Worked much better Ed

melanie ( ) posted Sun, 29 June 2003 at 6:18 PM

I was able to get it to work! I had to download the latest version of Quick Time. I love the video! That's just hilarious! I wish I had the patience to learn animation. Melanie

gtrdon ( ) posted Fri, 04 July 2003 at 12:33 AM

Amazing!!!!! You can do that with POSER? I heard people say you could not do decent animation with Poser....Well that pooves them wrong!
This kind of stuff makes me want to learn more and more about CG animation.
Excellent work .. Thank you for sharing

gordons ( ) posted Fri, 04 July 2003 at 9:57 AM

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, it encourages me to keep trying to up the ante. It took about 2 1/2 months of my 'spare' time to do this one (the opening shot alone took 13 hours to render on a P4 with a gig or RAM, and longer than that to model and animate), so there won't be an encore for a little while. I'm going away for a few weeks but when I get back I may post a couple of shorter films I did before this one. The first one I made is also available at the same site (halfway down the page I think):

http://e-show.org/media/Animation/animation.htm

Thanks again!

Gordon

FireHorse ( ) posted Sat, 05 July 2003 at 10:54 AM

Wow! Really excellent :-)) "great story great humor very good animation" Couldn't agree more! It's amazing that you could do that in Poser. Which bits did you do in C4D 7? Which you have been able to do the whole lot in P5 without C4D 7?
