Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 11 2:52 am)
In a word, AWESOME. Now, we can show how powerful Poser4 is. If you haven't compared, Poser has an incredible array of characters, clothes, poses, MoCap import capability, simple texturing & morphing. Doing character animation in any other app is way more complicated & expensive. Now combined with 3DMax's awesome renderer & total 3D feature set, there are no limits. Combined with Lifeforms Studio, you get over 1600 motion files to jump start animation projects. I bought the Infographica model collection (about 30CD's when unzipped) of 5000 photoreal objects (check it out)http://www.3dshort.com/index.html, I honestly think one guy(or gal) can make a 30 minute cartoon. Way to go Konan
Great work Konan! My question would be (since I am thinking about spending more money) do you know if the meshes once transfered would work with the plug-in for 3D Studio Max called Hypermatter? The reason I ask is because with Hypermatter once you assign it to a targeted area the "hypermattered" parts will automatically move and react to the principal animation... for example breasts (wicked grin). If anyone knows, please let me know :o) Thanks again Konan!! Jack
The resulting mesh in 3D Studio MAX is simply and "editable mesh", consisting of triangular faces and stuff. There is no reason why it should not work (Hypermatter). Try it with the demo. The only differece beween the output from the demo and that of the registered version is the texture mapping information is included in the full deal. Konan

Hey Posers, The newest demo is now available. You can download it at http://www.ev.ca/konan/MaxPose Help files are now included with the demo and are available for viewing on-line at the previous address. The following is a brief list of the latest features - Fast importing into 3D Studio MAX! (I mean it this time) - Auto optimization of the animation key frames - Unlimited mesh size is now supported (registered version) - Preserves Texture and bump maps (registered version) - Preserves Poser's specular highlights - Preserves Poser's diffuse color when a texture map is applied by blending the map with the diffuse color (registered version) - Unlimited animation frames Note that Maximum Pose is only compatible with 3D Studio MAX 2.5 and 3.x. Poser 4 is required for color and texture and bump map preservation (must do these manually with Poser 3). Download the latest demo and let me know what you all think. Konan
