The link (above) is an animation of the next model we plan to offer on SPECIAL! If you took advantage of our 4th of July Blow-Out sale for our Humvee and Nautilus models, perhaps you might want to take a look at this model animation.

In this linked fly-thru, please notice the interior frames of the back seat (camera right). Although subtle, the movement here helps exemplify the "Poseability" of our 3D Poser models. You ALL do such a beautiful job with your renders that we sure would like to have some moreof them to post on our site, ao keep them coming, huh?!

We appreciate any and all input about our products, so please log onto our site and take a look around. Let us know what might like to see on special, in the future, or any information you'd like to share with us. Because we can't know what you like, dislike, love, hate, or might "prefer", if you don't respond to our posts or send us an e-mail. Thanks a million for your support!

Cheers!
Pam

Man, that's beautiful (the model and the animation). But I have no idea what it would go for.

You guys make some cool stuff, bad sadly most of us like to eat and have a dwelling to pulg the computer into. If I had the cash available the sci fo section would be sitting in my poser libraries. But saddly, I think maybe the items you sell are out of that range many people will pay. I'm not saying the quality isn't there. I can say looking at the hummer the detail is there. But professional prices for what is mostly a hobby for 80% plus of the poser community is not really going to get you sales you'd like. I mean, I have known about your site since it opened. and only because of the sale you placed and spook did I buy. I easily spend 100 a week on poser but I make sure I get the most I can for that 100. Mind you I live alone so I can afford a little more than others.

Hi Pam, I would have to say lalverson summed it up pretty nice. I even wish I had a budget of $100.00 a week for poser :-) I normal spend $10-$15 a week and I have to be very picky on what I buy. But that said as you know I did buy the Hummer Friday and caved in and bought the Nautilus this morning. Just because I was impressed with the detail on the Hummer and didnt want to miss the chance of getting it for such a low price to what you normally sell them for. What I would like to see is maybe a 1 item sale every other week or so for about the same price you did this weekend. I think you would easily make up in sheer volume selling to hobbiests compared to what you would sell to more professional clients over the same time frame if you didnt have any sales. As for my likes it would be more along Military and Scifi themes.

I don't believe anyone bothered to check out the link to our collections I posted a couple weeks ago. I got no responses from it, anyway. But while the prices may still be out of range for some, we had (for example... speaking of the Sc-ofi collection) offered all of our sci-fi models (including aliens, robots, Nautilus, SS3 Magellan with shuttle and land cruiser, Dill car, all 3 transformers, the Trihull boat, both recumbents, et al., for $300-) Our Prop-mania collection is $75- and includes all of our musical instruments, weapons, furniture, and human accessories. OVer 50 models (closer to 60) total. But we're doing our best to re-work our pricing structure. Thank you all for your input. We'll come up with something, believe me. We've been working diligently on it! What about our entire collection for $100-? Just a thought! Thanks! Pam

Will have to look at the store again .. Didn'tsee that link a few weeks ago

Ditto to #3 & #4 - that weekend sale was perhaps (IMHO) a fantastic shot-in-the-arm for your company. Quality models at a hobbyist price! I'm in the hobbyist rank, and frankly, when the Magellan was promoted some time ago, due to the cost of the model, I somewhat dismissed PoserWorks as being out of my league; your sale got me back to the site. PlatinumClub(Daz), RealDeals(RDNA) and ProClub(PoserPros) are all tugging at our wallets (and marriages?), so us hobbyists have to make some tough choices...

OK - how would you like that $100 for the entire collection - PayPal, credit card, certified check??? Even if you're only kidding, you could offer me that deal "privately"; for a deal like that, I'll keep my mouth
shut!!!!! ;--)

You also might want to consider that you website takes forever to load for those of us that are not hooked to DSL. so we don't go there.

Petunia ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 2:44 PM

$20 maximum a week is all can spend. A lot of us out there would like your goodies if they were reasonably priced.

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Mon, 07 July 2003 at 3:02 PM

Gotta say I am not a big fan of the site and stuff cause there ayre weird vary price things and the navigation isn't the greatest to me but I am interested in one thing .. Would be interested in another but the price is pretty prohibitive.

I understand about the load time with our site, but please keep in mind that we are a 3D graphics COMPANY (12 years)and while I feel your pain (been there on the dial up myself) we must service the overall concerns of what we need to operate as a business. Even when we had dial up, our site was based on displaying our stock models and custom work with images. It's what we do!

Petunia, I have to ask... how in the world do you look around here on Renderosity (galleries, etc,) any easier? We fully understand that most of you are hobbyists and that our prices are a bit high for you. We are trying to accommodate you as best we can. I will say that Daz, who was built on and who built this market, does a superb job of servicing and accommodating your specific needs. They have built a very large customer base and volume sales allow them to keep their prices as low as they do. I hope you all appreciate what phenominal models you have for such rock bottom prices with DAZ. Their library is the cream of the crop and they are to be commended for it.

We primarily work in/with the 3ds/max community, but love the Poser program and have made a great many friends here through this fine venue (Renderosity.)

I do understand the pain of looking at heavy graphic based sites with dial up. We had it too and we haven't forgotten the agony before high speed internet access came on the scene so I can't say I blame you for "not going there"! ... I was down at a friend's house working one day and her access is dial up... After about 1/2 hour, I was about ready to shoot myself...or someone! ;)

To sum our up our position, I will make use of 2 overused cliches:

  1. A picture is worth a thousand words.
  2. You can please all of the people some of the time, or some of the peope all of the time, but you can't please all of the people on the Renderosity forums... EVER! HaHaHaHa.

We're really trying our best, believe me. We just thought it might be nice if we offered the fine peope we've come in contact with here, something out of the ordinary, at a price they can afford. If we had a larger contingent it MIGHT afford us the luxury of lowering our prices across the board to suit all of your needs/wants/budgets. Haven't seen that trend as yet, but we're working on it.

Hope that helps 'splain things a little better for y'all!

Ghostofmacbeth, I have no idea what you're saying here. Sorry, but would you try to expound on that one so that I might understand your point? My e-mail is pam@iw43d.com

Thanks.

Who's our buddy, who's our pal? Who wins 1st place for sparking Tom's curiosity for all time? Tx, Spook. (Someone requested a Vtol-type shuttle... and guess what? Someone is working on just that right damn now!)
