Ok. Steve K. posted in #97 of the attached message that vouchers are valid on all DAZ original creations, even the ones in the P Club. But, I got an email from Reba Vest yesterday informing me that vouchers are not valid in the P Club. I sent her the link to the P Club thread and a copy of Steve's text in post #97.

Hopefully they will clear up the confusion and let us (or me) know who is right.

Uh well maybe in theory, but I rounded out my Voucher order with the Sassy hair yesterday, so it did indeed work. I also remember doing the same thing with the house mouse last christmas. MAYBE P-club only items work?

Did I not mention that since that was the only reference to vouchers being useable on PC items, that it would be dodgy? It is not mentioned anywhere on Daz's site nor has it been announced officially. I'll wait for an "official" announcement and avoid the confusion. Kuroyume

BTW It was seriously cool of Daz to give me the voucher retroactively, since I bought Mimic 2 right before the sale. (And I didn't even ask for it!) They are having some minor bumps in the road with the store lately, but they are still a VERY cool company.

Berserga ( ) posted Tue, 08 July 2003 at 8:47 AM

Well... Why bother with P-club items anyway... I'd spend it on something you may not have from the regular store. I got a Mac-10 macgun, the shark, the handcuffs, and sassy hair to round it out. (sounds like the makings of a James Bond movie to me. :D) But if ya have everything I say JUST TRY IT. It'll tell you if it worked before ya process the order, so theres nothing to lose.

It worked on my order last night...for PClub items....

It worked for me as well but the email didn't reflect the voucher. After a quick call I was able to confirm that the voucher was applied.

My credit card was billed for the P-club items I bought, FYI. The Millennium Baby went through the voucher as expected.

kuroyume0161, It is an FYI (For Your Information) post. Wassup with the [perceived] attitude dude?

dreamer728 ( ) posted Tue, 08 July 2003 at 8:00 PM

actually i placed an order through P-Club last thursday. the total showed the voucher was applied to my purchase, all the way until i clicked the place order button...but when i got the email confirmation my total did not reflect the voucher anymore. i sent an email asking what had happened, and the response was that P-Club items cannot be purchased with a voucher.

Hi there, First off. I apologize for the lack of a response yet. The response was intended before now but a power outage caused a delay and Daz will make an official response explaining the circumstances and details tomorrow. --------------- To just briefly touch upon it... There was intended to be a new type of voucher for use in Premier and Special Interest that new PC members would recieve monthly and a free bonus if customers felt they wanted to use them. These new class of vouchers were accidently set to be usuable on PC items mistakenly, turning almost three out of four new items in the PC each month into frebbies. this was never intended for obvious reasons. Standard Daz vouchers are still usable as they have in the past. I caught this mistake after the misinformation was already communicated but the weekend had begun already and the staff had left. As I said Daz intended to respond today but an outage resulted in a delay. As that I am in Boston I asked to tenatively provide some info so here I am. :) What some of you are now seeing is that the programmer has reset the new monthy Bonus vouchers to work in the stores there were originally intended being Premier and Special Interest. ------------------------- Daz apologizes for the misunderstanding and confusion this has caused and will officially respond in this thread tomorrow explaining the situation, remedies, and specifics in more depth. Even in the PC the items still have to be Daz creations and not brokered. That could be the problem. But something I noticed is with a $10 voucher, it wouldn't give me the full $10 off unless my total went over $10.

I have to say I wouldn't like it but I wouldn't blame them if they excluded the pc from voucher use. A $10 voucher get's you 5 quality items.

I have to apologize for the confusion regarding vouchers. I was right in stating that the normal store vouchers are good on Platinum Club DAZ Original items, but I was very wrong in not understanding (even myself) that the vouchers being issued to Platinum Club members on a monthly basis after signing up for the monthly payment plan are separate and distinct from the normal store vouchers. The Platinum Club Vouchers are a cross-promotional voucher designed to give platinum club members an extra boost in buying items from the Premier and Special Interest sections of our store. I apologize for the huge confusion this became. Unfortunately, I was confused myself on this. Hopefully, this post will clear up the rest of your main concerns. As I explained above, Platinum Club Vouchers are separate from the normal store vouchers and may be used on all non-Platinum Club DAZ Original products. These vouchers are only given to Platinum Club Members who choose the monthly payment option. These are a gift to each member every month they remain a member and are good for that month only. Due to many requests from our customers, we have added a new payment option for joining the Platinum Club. Now instead of having to come up with $99.95 at once, you have the option to spread your payments over time and join for only a $29.95 start-up fee and $7.95 a month after that. And as a bonus, everyone who joins via the monthly payment plan will automatically receive $5 Platinum Club Vouchers each month (good for one month). Or, if you wish, you may enjoy the Platinum Club benefits by making a single payment of $99.95 for a full year of membership ($69.95 for renewing members) vouchers not included. Full-year up front payments are accepted via Paypal or a check or money order. By joining the thousands of people already members of the Club, you will have full-access to the Members-Only Galleries and Forum areas, enjoy a sneak-peek of upcoming DAZ Products, and hear all the latest happenings with DAZ3D in a new monthly newsletter. And get an extra 30% off of hundreds of DAZ Original Items - even when theyre on sale. Since the start of the Platinum Club in October 2002, we have released over 40 DAZ Original Items that total over $1,000. As a Platinum Club Member you could purchase all these items for over 45% off by combining the introductory sale prices with your 30% Platinum Club discount. That means you could have purchased every one of those 40 products for under $600. There have also been many people talking about how they dont like the fact that they cannot use their credit cards to purchase the full-year upfront membership. As hard as it may be to believe, the companies we work with to process credit cards (NOVA services and CSI) will not let us process thousands of year subscriptions without paying hundreds of thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, we do not have that extra cash floating around to appease the credit card processing companies. We do hope that each customer that wants to join can now do so under the new payment options. Were really trying hard to make the Platinum Club more accessible to our customers, as we realize that the more it benefits our customers, the more it benefits us as well. We are also working hard to get caught up with our email and hope to have our customer service back up to par soon. Reba Vest is helping us part-time while we work to get our heads back above water again. We are confident that there will be less bumps throughout the rest of the year.

duanemoody ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 2:58 PM

Wait: NOVA/CSI will permit a $69.95 purchase of a model, but not a subscription that's only three Hamiltons more?

SKondris ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 3:03 PM

Yeah, because the subscription hangs over NOVA's head for 12 months, the model only hangs for one month with the 30-day guarantee. Steve
