I'm doing some experiments to simulate surf from a distance in bryce, using terrains and slope sensitive mats...Basically I'm using photoshop to make 'negatives' of the terrain the water is to be reacting with, and building ripples into the grayscale. Mixed results sofar, but it shows promise. I've noticed that terragen and mojoworld do a really nice job at this kind of thing....
