ill just been looking at some of the animations on the daz3d site, how do they get so much animation into such a small file? is there a good rendering or video compressing package? I saw an excellent animation on here recently, ani characters hiking, but i cant seem to even get a small walk sequence smaller than my h/d lol... any help or advice wud be preciated

I was hoping someone had answered by now because this is something that has puzzled me also. Have you been able to find the information anywhere else?

Something you can do is render to image files, then open up Quicktime. I believe you need the pro version for this, but anyway... Once you open a new quicktime window, go File/Open image sequence. Choose the first numbered file of your image file animation, and it was import all the frames. Save that as a .mov, and you're set. Makes a nice small file, and also has nice quality. Please forgive me if this doesn't make perfect sense, as I'm a tad buzzed right now. If there's any further questions, I'll answer again in the morning.

What are the movs that you wonder about? I have a Mac, so I can load them and read off what codecs were used. For example: "A New Breed of Poser" low resolution ANB_240X130_sor3.mov uses: QDesign Music 2, Monno, 22.05 kHz, 16 bits [for audio] Sorenson Video 3, 240 x 130, Millions+ [for video]
