Steve - Bear in mind that if you're working in Windows, you can't import Quicktimes into RDS; it can only handle AVI's or sequenced images. (The reverse is true, too; Mac's can't handle AVI's. Kinda frustrating, actually....) I'm sure there must be some conversion utility out there (I use AfterEffects -- a little pricey, but I already have it....). - Chip
Speaking of quicktime..did anyone else but me feel ripped off when you read on the carrara site that you can export quicktime movies and then find out that you had to actually go buy quicktime seperately? I work with a lot of video software and I have never installed it and found out I needed to give quicktime more money....grrrr

Is there any way to have the background of the project window in RDS 5.5 be a frame of video so that I can animate objects that sync up with my quicktime video clips. I'd like to animate a poser figure etc walking past a videotaped actor etc? Poser allows such a simple function, but I can't find a good way to do similar with studio 5.5. Any help is great! Thanks Steve
