Funny you should ask. I'm working on one right now. The tutorial won't be done for another day or so.
My latest tutorial covers how the basics of how Vue 4 calculates diffuse and ambient light in a scene. I decided to write the tutorial because I wanted to know too! lol. I did about 12 hours of research into it. The ambient light calculations were difficult to determine. The tutorial is four pages long.
Expect a post in this forum in the next couple of days asking for constructive criticism on a 'Ambient and Diffuse Light in Vue 4' tutorial.

Good news ! I am curious to see it when it is done. Lighting is a pet peeve of mine. In the meantime, don't forget the fabulous study about lights from 'nggalai'. It is almost a reference...I didn't recommend that book because I have recommended it so many times in the past, people will start thinking I am getting something in return :) Buy that book - it is worth every pages.

Any good advance tutorials on lighting? Like spot, directional, point etc/ what techniques, and settings to use? Thanks
