A character from a story that I am working on. What do think?

Her gun looks handy. Where did you get it from?

PJF ( ) posted Thu, 06 July 2000 at 8:03 AM

The one in her hands is a Federation phaser, a Star Trek design. I think the one on her belt is a Klingon disruptor, also Trek, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

But where downloaded from?

LoboUK ( ) posted Thu, 06 July 2000 at 8:16 AM

I'm not too sure where the Federation NG phaser rifle came from, but I think the Klingon Disruptor was part of a character created by WarriorDL. It's in the free stuff section - either search for WarriorDL or Klingon Paul

You are correct. I downloaded the weapons from 3d cafe I think. I am sure that is right. I didn't know that we had klingons in the free stuff area. I borrowed the idea from a poster that I downloaded off from the newsgroups. That gave me the idea of the story and it has been filed waiting for me to actual start writing it. Any one interested in reading it? butch

Might be interested in reading it in a few weeks (WAY too much going on right now for that kind of leisure at present!). One thing - and this is for all texture-makers - it might help if you put a thin line around the edges of her "swimsuit"/uniform - black works if it's VERY thin, but a much darker version of the main fabric color seems to work best - to create a line to separate the clothing from the flesh...

Forgot to credit Zarno and his site for the great Zep. He has some really good stuff. Most of it is either dxf or the bryce format. I still have to write the story. It is just starting to jell. That's one great thing about poser. It lets me create the characters that I have been thinking about for years. butch Ps tried to post link to Zarno and couldn't get it to link. I tried cutting and pasting.

Indeed, Butch! We have "Lursa" in freestuff. The MAC & PC versions are 2 seperate posts, so look for whichever one suits you. Isn't that the motto from "GalaxyQuest"?? Anyhow! Cool Idea! Let us know when you start "WEBing" your story... Marc

Yep it is. Too good to pass up. I have about 15 stories in various stages of completion and about half I have done at least a character or two from poser. I would like to actually have the the story and the poser figures in more of a comic book format. One problem is finding space on a site. So far all the free sites have too many restrictions and no-no's. I missed Lursa somehow, but I would really like to see Kehylar or Beannna torres. butch
