Now that we are entering a real manga-anime babe "Arms-Race" (or would that be Face-Race"?) would it be time to introduce a new "K2"? K2's primary new feature would be: Five Fingers! Then we could really get into some real battle scenes with MayaBabe, LaRoo and Koshini. How about Manga-Anime babe mud wresting? (I bet I know who could make some great mud- T-Girl!)

One other new feature for K2- re-mapping to allow easy use of V1-V2 clothes. How many people really want to buy ALL NEW clothes for every Manga-Anime babe that comes out? K2 could be even more popular and stay ahead in the race by being fully V1-V2 clothes compatible. (The the others would have to match that and the winners are us- the consumer!) (BTW, T-Girl is Ernyoka)

I think the missing fingers on Koshini and other things such as Gobbles are a big mistake. Sigh. I was going to post a request (seriously) for a 5-fingered hand for Koshini (and ipso facto Ichiro too). I dithered about it, and along came LaRoo! LOL

I've seen a five fingered Koshini posted to Batlab's gallery (with a note below the image about the change). It was a while ago, but unless my memory is incorrect (possible, it's not very good) a talented Japanese poser artist has already accomplished this. I really wanted to ask about this addition, but I was viewing the page translated by Babelfish because it was all in Japanese. Maybe someone should contact Batlab?

Koshini seems so very different from LaRoo though. I liked Koshini instantly, though I wish she had 5 fingers too. I'm not sure about LaRoo yet, I don't like her default face at all. BUT! I've seen some great face morphs of hers, and I like her clothes so.... I'll probably jump on the LaRoo bandwagon. And don't forget the girls that Sixus1 is coming out with... and the petite Vicki that Burton's doing... ARGH I need like 3 more jobs to support this godawful habit.

I think the "talented Japanese Poser artist" you are referring to is Motsura, perhaps? He did a VickyLR version of his orginal IDOL Manga Girl also. Motsura's original IDOL remains my alltime favorite as she was (and still is) a REAL MANGA CUTIE. And her body was based upon P4 Posette, so clothes were very easy to find or make. The only problem with IDOL is that her face has very little morphs to change it. Too bad someone couldn't help Motsura make a Poser morphable IDOL face for his cutie. She would be really popular NOW I think if more people could see how cute IDOL is.

Arabian Clothes and Bikini

If they make Koshini V1-V2 clothes compatible then there would be alot less Koshini clothes buying....so why would a vendor want to do that....so I'm not looking for it anytime....However, I would love to have some of the Koshini clothes recently out and to be out in the future, to fit Vicki because they are great clothes!

Thanks for the link! BTW, 'mistake' up there wasn't the right word to use. If we're using Koshini for traditional anime then the missing finger is probably preferred by some. But how many of us use her that way? I just wish we had a choice. Gobbles on the other hand...:)

Wow, I had no idea he had created a NEW Vicky Manga Character! She is LOADED with new Face Morphs! And she has great looking new Manga Hair! Heh! And all my Vicky clothes work on her!!!

They both wear commonly found clothing (Yuka Vicky wears V1/2 clothes, as does Aiko), which puts them at the top of the list IMHO. Yuka has a harder time w/ textures (though I've found that if you're careful, you can sample your target V2 body texture and make it into a generic head texture), but I've been extremely impressed with the entire mesh makeover done (I wish I could remember the URL, but recent freestuff has been made for her.) Aiko is my absolute favorite, though... she's the most versatile, can use any Steph texture without breaking a sweat, and the body morphs make her/him/it the most usable in the lot. Koshini is cool, but tends to be a bit too cutesy-cartoony for my tastes (the four-fingered/four-toed thing mostly), and seems more in keeping with the 'Powerpuff Girls' fanbase than a crusty old guy who happens to like Anime/Manga. Asciicodeplus (the gent whose name SnowSultan was trying to type out) has a real fascinating project coming along, but he's stuck with RL duties, so I'm stuck with merely anticipating his results eagerly. /P

I think the "Play With Poser" characters like Yuka are also great and very useful because they wear Vicky clothes AND have all their digits. I like Koshini a lot as a "Doll-Like" character, and I think that's why so many women like Koshini and Ichiro, as they are basically DOLLS. (I don't own Ichiro, and Motsura's original version of Ichiro satisifies any needs in that department for me.) I REALLY think people will like his new Vicky Character once they download and play with her. She RENDERS FANTASICALLY as a TRUE MANGA Character, especially with a Z-Toon setup. Looks JUST LIKE a real Japanese Manga Comic character!!! Hat's Off to Motsura, he's got a HIT here for true Manga fans, trust me!

When you get the new Motsura Vicky character, she is a Pz3 file, so Very Easy to use immediately. But I found I had to adjust the sensitivity of the face parameter dials, and found that by removing one zero (as in "0") from each dial setting, they performed well. The default settings are too low, at least for me (Win 2000). I know Motsura uses a Mac, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Ockham has just updated his Z-Toon Python script and you will need it to Z-Toon Motsura's Manga Vicky. Something to do with the Camera setting (ask Ockham, he knows). Also another great goodie in the Motsura basket of goodies is also a P4 Version of his Manga character, so nearly all your clothing bases are covered!

Sixus1 just released Trixie. 5 fingers, tons of head morphs. she's different and fun too. I've been sucked into the anime magna empty pocketbook that's going on. I think I'm gunna go back to playing with the Saveage Orc he likes ripping the wings off faeries.

I found that Motsura's P4 Manga babe comes in with some magnets around the chest area. They screw up standard P4 poses and some clothing items, so I found that deleting the mags make everything work great and she's P4 clothes ready.

Koshini is a doll LaRoo reminds me (looking at the images) of the Gerry Anderson Marionette characters (think Fireball XL5, Stingray, SuperCar, Joe 90. Captain Scarlet etc) Justfits Yuka and Maru look the anime part. Then there's always Maeve...

My understanding is that Koshini has four fingers due to LadyLittlefox being strongly influenced by the ElfQuest comic series. ;-) Homer Simpson and everyone else in Springfield have four fingers on each hand, and that's good enough for me! D'oh! bonni

Manga Vicky renders better as a TRUE cartoon character in Z-Toon mode than anything made previously. People talk about only the characters they have seen before. Almost no one here has downloaded and played with the new Manga Vicky yet, according to everything I've seen here so far. And the P4 Manga Babe also works fantastically! I have tons of classic P4 clothes that work on her immediately and render as illustrations FANTASTICALLY! Love this. Can't believe they are free. But since its from a Japanese website it no doubts scares some people who can't deal with that. Technical Note: P4 manga babe needs about three zeros knocked off the face sensitivity dials, as in "000" taken off each one. The expressions are GREAT if you like Manga characters, Lots of excellent morphs! Motsura has done a great job on this new character!

It's not that we're scared of Japanese...it's that these figures can't be used commercially. That makes a big difference to some people. I prefer the flexibility of multi-use characters since I don't do authentic mange/anime.

Personally I prefer the Motsura and PlayWithPoser anime dolls. I love Koshini, but she's not really anime. I've never got used to Aiko, some of her is pretty good but the eyes aren't anime. And that's also the point where LaRoo fails. Simply making huge eyes aren't enough IMO. the SHAPE of the eyes are important too. Koshini's eye shape is pretty good though. For anime I would really prefer 4 fingered models, but both are useable, 4 and 5. I like Koshini's 4 fingers :o) This is Motsura's Anime character Kote2 for Vickie Low rez. now THIS is anime should be :o)

after reading a lot of criticism of koshini for not being truly anime, i downloaded a lot of anime for reference using google. a variety of sources. not one had four fingers. i'm beginning to think that's an american convention, not japanese. they also all had softer cheeks, convex undersides to their chins (as opposed to koshini's which is more straight). their heads were more proportionate to their bodies, and (of course), their breasts tended to be more prominent. so i would say she is not pure anime, i guess. this is not to say that koshini isn't great (i bought her and love her) or that you can't get her to look really, really manga. every time i look at koshini in motsura's thumbnail for his china dress i think of shampoo from ranma, even if the coloring isn't right. i think it's actually nice to note that she isn't pure anime, she's anime and lady littlefox. i like yuka and motsura's characters and maya doll, and.... i could go on and on. i think there can never be enough variety, even in the small arena of anime poser characters.
