I am thinking to get Mimic. Should I buy Mimic2Pro? Or is Mimic2 good enough? When do we need Mimic2Pro? Is the program stable, and reliable ? Thank you HimiCo.

Thank you Mazak.

Very nice animations.
Mimic seems very nice to me, although I cant understand German.
Did you use Mimic2 or Mimic2 Pro?

Does the facial expression come from Mimic ?
I was just wondering how facial expression worked in Japanese.
Japanese culture is quite different from the westerns. They dont express themselves much or express themselves differently from western people when they speak.

HimiCo.

The great thing about Mimic2Pro (can't speak for the features in Mimic2), is that you have control over the facial features... Out of the box, it generates a pose that speaks the voice file, blinks, does a bit of head bobbing and raises eyebrows if the tone seems to imply it. Then you can tweak the facial expression morphs to your heart's content , use preset facial expressions (sad, angry, happy, ect) for the whole thing, 2 seconds of it then switch expressions, blend them, what have you; fiddle with phenomes if the character doesn't move its lips the way you think, say "eh" or "ah" should be said. I'm still learning how to use the program... There's a LOT more control than Mimic 1. If you have need of speaking animation, I highly recommend this program. I spent the money just to play with it, I'm not a professional in any sense and doubt 3d art will ever send a dollar my way. Currently, I am working on an animation with 2 speakers. I've got it to where they say their lines to each other in turn, but I made some boo-boos that will take some time to fix...

lhiannan, thank you very much for the information. I am interested in Mimic. It is important for animation. I should seriously consider Mimic2 Pro. The price of Mimic2Pro is comparable to Vue, or Bryce, and higher than the discount price of Poser5. It is nice to have a demo version.

Are there any other programs out there like Mimic 2 pro that do about the same thing in poser? Thanks
