ok..grins....here goes.... with all of the WONDERFUL comments made on the colored version of the B&W castle, and all the suggestions to do it in Bryce and make it look more real....grins...i played around a lil, and this is what i came up with... future adjustments, maybe more trees, different lighting, thi sone looks a lil dull, and maybe a different wall texture...also, looking for a replacement material for the grass atop the bottom wall...nothing standard in bryce looks that well, so will either go shopping or make something.... LOL pleaseeeee lemme know what ya think? *grins* ohhhhh and this one is the painted one, for a refresher rather then scrolling back through like 10 pages... second post Bryce...

Nicely done--looks great so far!

That's one thing I'm really not able to, matching the POV and re-creating something from a reference picture. I did only one effort in the past, with one interior scene, but I'm amazed at such results like yours, JC, or the last Alvin's "Ugolino". Maybe this is due to my complete lack of hand-drawing skills, I don't know. But seeing such precise works is a great inspiration.

Looks very good so far. There should be a more uneven edge along the top wall of the castle to give it that dilapidated look and if your interested I've got a rather nice grass mat made in the DTE. If you want it let me know. 8) Catlin

LOL Who me? Never! :P I do it the easy way, I only make what i see, if you saw offscree, you'd see a big box and some walls and a ton of floating trees...my pc can be slow so to make the actual hill that the trees and castle sit on slows it down, grins so this is a floating castle, hidden by something like 50 some trees...LOL Thanks Everyone for all the great comments! grins and goes back to playin.....errrrr work winks

Nice work!

JC the terrain texture "lowlands" can make a very effective grassy look if applied to small areas. Just a thought. 8) Catlin
