This is my first render from poser and i cant figure out what I did wrong.....look at the spear.....the inset is what it is supose to look like. Does anybody have any ideas on this ......

Also as this is my first try any comments would be helpfull.

I can't even tell where the spear is supposed to be in the scene? If you're using firefly check to see if you have the "remove back face geometry" switch on. It could be your spear has inverted normals but in that case the spear would show inside out, not gone. It kind of looks like that spear is in that pile of brown stuff in his right arm. Would be nice if you pointed an arrow where the inset came from.

heheheh right Mason the spear Is "that pile of brown stuff" thats what i mean. the inset if the top of the spear (what is should look like) but when i rendered it turned into a "pile of brown stuff" thanks raptordude

Try un-checking "smooth Polygons" on the spear.

Thanks Niles......turning off the smooth polygons did the trick for me. Great to get help so fast. Thanks to all raptordude
