Subject: Looking to figure height in Poser

Shilar ( ) posted Thu, 21 August 2003 at 10:12 AM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 6:25 AM

I have several characters with varying heights, and want to show this in a montage. Is there help in figuring out the difference in height in accordance to sight? Any website/tutorials will be much appreciated.

There are a few threads floating around here pertaining to this issue. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1352228 http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1365626 Hope that helps. :)

Their has been quite a bit of discussion on this topic. Try searching for scale, unit, and ruler in the Poser forum. Also, you may want to search for Geep as he has taken particular interest in this, written a tutorial or two (http://galileo.spaceports.com/~schoolin/)and engaged in conversations on this topic. Good luck

Oops, seems like http://galileo.spaceports.com/~schoolin/ is no longer valid. Anyone know where they might be found now?

Actually, it seems I'm back to square one. What would be handy is a simple "Point of View" measurement for different heights, instead of needing to break out calculators.

Do you want it in feet or meters?

Feet is great. I did find the caliper prop and is helping better.

Whatever method you use to measure height, make SURE you use the Front Camera in Poser to do it. It's the only reliable viewpoint Poser has, since it can neither tilt not rotate. mac

Thank Mac, I am using the caliper prop, which gives me a viewpoint relationship to the height.
