It's funny you should mention this, Charles as I had just shut off 'background draw' 'cuz I thought that VUE was responding kind of sluggishly! SO, I just turned it back on and NOW when I bring a couple of primitives in they are acting as if they were animated, i.e. they load all wonked-out and then they will assume their 'normal' shape...select(say the circle) and it wonks out again before returning once again to 'normal'...OR if I select one primitive another primitive will act up again! Wish I could capture this with CaptureExpress 'cuz it is kinda fun to watch even tho' it is kind of exasperating as it makes it difficult to align them visually when they're performing this little ani. ;-) ==steve
Evidently not, nish! I just loaded one plum tree and it had no problem duplicating (very quickly) all the way up to 160 of the little babies ;-)! Threw a few volumetric lights, some reflective materials and some fog and haze for good measure and it's still performing rather well, fingers and toes crossed as I type this...of course making it extremely difficult to do so with any efficiency...but things seem back to normal! Now I'm wondering HOW I got myself into this predicament in the first place...hehe?!? BTW, I'm running a P4/1.9GhZ/1GbRAM and my last pic still slowed it down to molasses-like speed;-)!! Must be all them Vikings! ==steve
