I used to have an ASUS but recently updated to a ABIT NF7 and that is even better IMHO. Thats the one I was telling you about Incarnadine which has a siren that goes off and shuts the system down if anything unauthorised tries to write to the bios, pretty neat I think. BTW, the ABIT NF7 cost me 72 or $157 Canadian, just to give you an idea of price. Catlin
I was going to buy V3 but this is taking my money in lieu of. I do have P4 and B5 on the laptop so I am not cut off - just cut down a bit. Parts will be in Tuesday, Should have everything back in and running over the next week.

Well it appears that "A Place in the Sun" (...yes, I realize I forgot to allow comments, fixed that!) was the last render out of my desktop. Something on the MoBo went and it will not boot (power supply is fine/HD fine, etc.) Got out the multi-meter and gave it a going over (btw the battery is fine too!). The new one is on order (ASUS) and I am having to bump up the chip as well (no boards available to fit my old socket). I guess that's the silver lining (grin). Should take about a week to get everything back in. Thank god for laptops!
