Subject: I wonder?

Many fractals we create remind us of our surroundings - the outline of mountains, tree branches, deep space objects just to name a few. (Likewise when we view various objects they remind us of fractals). There was a discussion about this in a previous thread. But what about the fractals we don't recognise within our own experiences. Do they too exist in another place or universe? Just wondering......and dreaming again :-)

A while ago I saw this picture the hubble took. first glance it looked like a star studded sky then I noticed the different colors further examination each dot had a different shape. That whenI realized and was confirmed by the text that what I was looking at were hundreds of thousands of galaxies. I felt very small at that moment. Then the self preserving Id took over and said you can comprehend the cosmo. Can it do the same of you? Each galaxy was a mini fractal in the picture. A solar flare off the surface of the sun looks like flame fractal.

Ok I was wrong it wasn't hunderd of thousnads. More like 1500 are estimated in this picture. Even more impresive. If you took a number 2 pencil and used it to poke a hole in a piece of paper and looked up at the night sky thats bigger then the area that this picture covers. This looks back about 10 billion years.
