It seems I can never get those clothes to fit ol V3. I usually end up just post working it afterword. I know if I conform it to figure 1, it can't be adjusted too well. But how do I know if it would fit if I adjusted it before conforming it. It seems you have to play with it. Is there a way to get those clothes to fit easier? The attached picture shows what I originally imported. The final is here http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=483361

I'm assuming you're using V1/2 clothing on V3. The V3 mesh is different enough that old clothes won't necessarily fit V3 properly. I usually parent the V1/2 clothes to V3's hips then after I pose V3, I apply the same pose to the clothes. I then then tweak the pose and play with morphs to cover up pokethrough. I can use some of Koshini's clothes on V3 with the same method. Cheers!

If you have the Tailor from DAZ you can get the clothing to conform to V3 using a mannekin character!

I've had decent luck with the x, y, & z scales on the body of the clothing. Then I adjust its position using the hip. Are you new here? If so, Welcome! (PS: this is a family site)

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but are you conforming the clothing to the figure? Warm Regards, Nancy (SophiaDeer)

Thanks for all the responses. I was using the conform. Also If I tweek V3's shape it makes the clothes fit differently. Usually I do change her shape. I am using V3 clothes too. The first suggestion of parenting sounded viable. It just seems like every thing needs so much tweeking, the second skin textures are nice but look like tatoos instead of clothes. Thanks for the welcome Jackson, I don't spend too much time in the forums but I've been a part of Renderosity for about 7 months.

Somewhere buried in DAZ's website is the tutorial and a mannekin for Tailor to convert V1/2 clothes to 3. There is a also a V3 joint setting pose, which should be applied after Tailoring Or you could do it the old fashioned way , via magnets and scaling

the old fashioned way almost sounds preferable. I found Tailor even more confusing, maybe it's just me.

What a gross nickname you have. Marque

Tailor confusing? Open figure. Open clothing. Either pick the one morph you want, or add all FBM's to queue. Push the button. Wait. Save clothing. All done! For this you load the mannekin instead of a figure ... not very tricky. :)

Thanks Marque, where's your sense of humor? Did you see the artist page with the rooster and orange juice?

cockjuice ( ) posted Mon, 01 September 2003 at 5:38 PM

I will have to give it another go Lyrra, I guess I just thought I could do it all in one program. Poser.

No I don't visit the galleries so I guess I missed it. You have to admit if you aren't in on the joke it could be a little offensive. Marque

Yes I guess it could be but I truly did not mean any. It was meant to be only a username I would remember and that nobody had used. I didn't expect it to become my identity here which now it has and I'm sort of stuck with it. Most people get a chuckle out of it which is what I hope for. I try to convey intelligence and heart in my words and art here. What's in a name? I never meant to seem perverted or mallice. Peace Chris

cockjuice, well if the name is an issue talk to one of the Admins about changing it ... And yeah, you can do it in Poser .. kinda sorta. Its not the easiest thing in the world ..takes patience and time. Tailor just makes it much faster. Marque I agree with you that the name is offputting ... but the person behind the name seems relatively cool and mellow and hey .. thats the important part Lyrra
