Subject: Its my BIRTHDAY and the world is saddened.....

YES! its my brithday today! I dunno about you guys but here in the Philippines, its already 9-11 and ITS MY B-DAY!. :::::::::: TWO SAD THINGS! ::::::::::: 1. Its not really nice to celebrate since its the aniversary of the 911 incident that has carved its way in the historical world of ours... and it caused a lot of misery in the world. 2. my computer is still dead... and still remains to be dead... I had to money to buy a new one a few days back but my girlfriend had a problem with her thesis (financial ones). and since she is also an architecture student (like i was a year ago) i know how expensive an architectural thesis can be. so there goes my 10 grand... POOF! gone to illustrations boards, latex paints, tech pens and other art materials... GEEEZZZZ just my luck ain't it? geeezzzzz.... another bad thing was that i was supposed to pass for the august challenge but our office computer just cant take the heat and the time limit was just too early for a pentium II 300mhz speed. So there goes my work hahahah! well better luck next time i guess.... okay now that im a little bit okay.... ill go back to admiring works now.. sad eyecon =(

One of my friends proposed to his wife on a circle line tour (boat around New York) about 10 minutes before the first plane hit, they saw it from their boat tour. They sure won't forget that one :-( Chin up though eyecon, I'm sure the pheonix will rise from the dead PC, and your girly will start earning loads of money as an architect :-)

Happy birthday Eyecon and don't be sad there is a proverb that says "all good things come to those who wait". It might take a while but you'll get there in the end. 8) Catlin

Happy B-day man, and remember that cubes and spheres can be turned into great abstracts. :)

Happy Birthday EYECON..... apparently you aren't supposed to have a computer yet.... there must be a better one waiting for you. It will come at the right time. Hope you are having/did have a great day. 8)

Happy Birthday! I know it is sad to remember all that was lost on that fateful day, 9/11/01. But my grandson was born on that day. My daughter called to tell me I had a grandson and my mother interupted that call to tell me to turn on CNN> So out of ashes, comes new life>Life goes on> Its your birthday...enjoy yourself.

Happy birthday! Don't feel too sad. Always look at the bright side of life :) And as Catlin said; "all good things come to those who wait" Nothing more true then that.

Colette, you're never old enough to be a grandma!! Give a big birthday hug to your grandson for me on his birthday, maybe one day he'll realise how special it was that he was born on that day bringing great joy out of grief. 8) Catlin

Eyecon, I'm going to be politically OBNOXIOUS in an effort to restore your sense of self. More than 3,000 people die EVERY SINGLE day, and MANY of these deaths are from more violent or malevolent causes than terrorism. Don't let the media hype convince you, not for another single birthday, that ANY certain date is more tragic than any other date. It's YOUR birthday. Take it back from those morose fools who think for some reason anyone is immortal, or innocent, and that people don't deserve to die. I grow tired of people whining and blubbering over a hate-related incident. Who's crying about the thousands of Palestinian's killed? Who's crying about the TENS OF THOUSANDS of people killed around the world in CIA/USA-sponsored warmongering? Who's crying about the massive damage humans do to each other every day...? Don't get down about such things, Eyecon. It is the meaning of our lives that we learn to have hope in the face of such atrocities, and work towards a better world. Keep your chin up, and happy birthday! Hope you get a computer soon...!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Ang25 ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 11:13 AM

Happy Birthday Eyecon!!! There is tragedy and sadness everywhere, everyday. Try not to dwell on it. My mom and father each had a grandmother pass away on their birthdays. I worked with a woman who died on her daughter's birthday, so sad. I know that 911 will always be thought of as a tragic day but don't let it get you down. And maybe we can all send mental telepathy signals to change your luck and have you get a new PC! That will be my birthday wish for you along with health and happiness. Hope you enjoyed your day. Take Care, Angela

Eyecon, I don't know if you build computers or if you buy corporate garbage machines, such as Dell or Apple or whatever, but these days you can put together a nice system for well under $500 US. I own a computer company called Dragon PC, not trying to sell you one, but I'm just saying you don't need $10,000 to build a good one! Maybe things are more expensive over there? (I'm in Seattle)
