Do you mean you're trying to load "All Head Morphs" or "All Body Morphs" and your system gets hung up? If so, you may not have the resources to do this...my husband sat and waited for over an hour and they never loaded. It took my system about 2 minutes total to load all head and all body morphs. As far as what to do...not quite sure...never had this problem...you may have to load each individual set seperately.

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 8:59 AM

I couldn't even load them individually! lol Now I don't know what to do :o(

Did you install him into the default folders? Stupid question I know but some folks move stuff around. Marque

Yes, I let it go wherever it was suppose to , didn't change anything.

Wow, just checked and it only took me 30 seconds to load all the body and head morphs. I know you have V3 pokeydots so if I were you I would uninstall him, re-install him and if that doesn't help I would get hold of Daz, they should be there now since it's 9 in Utah. Marque

DCArt ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:12 AM

Are you using Poser 4 or Poser 5?

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:12 AM

If you have more than one version of Poser installed, make sure you've installed it to the version you're using him in. I had this problem with V3, when I tried to install her in Poser 4 but use her in Poser 5. Copying the !DAZ folder over to Poser 5 fixed the problem; I'm now able to inject the morphs in Poser 4 and 5.

DCArt ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:13 AM

Yup randym77, that's the same thing I was thinking ... I had the same problem with V3 until I figured that out 8-)

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:15 AM

I have poser 4 and 5, I have V3 and all the daz stuff in P4 so that is where I put M3

Are you trying to inject the morphs in P4 or P5? If P5 it will hang ... what I do is inject all morphs and save it to the P4 library, and then when I use V3 or M3 in P5 I start with the "all morph" figures.

lobo75 ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:19 AM

I had no problems.

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:28 AM

Ok I uninstalled him and reinstalled, I was trying to inject them using P5 so I will try in P4, Thanks Deecy I never thought of that! And thanks everyone I will let you know if it works ( boy do I feel silly! lol)

Had no problems. I installed M3 into a seperate M3 runtime and later copied the !DAZ folder into the default P5 runtime. That's all, works nice.

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:32 AM

All you need is the !DAZ folder. If you install M3 in Poser 4, and copy the !DAZ folder over to Poser 5, you should be able to use him in both Poser 4 and 5.

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:52 AM

Deecy I did what you said, and they loaded instantly! lol So I just saved him with all the morphs ;o) Thanks!

pdxjims ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 9:55 AM

randym77 is right on the money. It all comes down to the !Daz folder. You can go ahead and install in the P4 structure, then either copy only the !Daz folder to the P5 library structure and everything should work fine. This drive me crazy with V3. This time I knew better. I installed in P4, moved the !Daz folder, and everything works great. Punomaus has a great idea too. I never thought of using the multiple Runtime option to set up a seperate library structure for each major character. I may have to restructure all my files this weekend.

pokeydots ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 10:08 AM

Thanks I will copy the !Daz folder to P5 also ;o)

Yeah, that's a nifty idea with the !Daz folder. Now I won't have to load a megahuge CR2 file - two now!

shadowblade ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 10:55 AM

Hmm, strange. I install everything to my P4 directory then do all my work in P5. I never had a problem with V3 and haven't experienced any with M3, either.

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 11:26 AM

This is such a common problem. I'm surprised they haven't addressed it with their installer. The installer already detects all the copies of Poser you have on your machine. Seems like it would be relatively simple to have the installer copy the !DAZ folder to all of them, or ask you if you want it done. I mean, since P5 can read any runtime, while P4 can only use its own, it seems logical to install stuff to the P4 runtime, if you're using both programs. I imagine a lot of people do it that way. Then wonder why it takes so long to inject the morphs.

layingback ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 12:05 PM

randym77 - Agree, but it's a competitor's product, which Daz has been on record as not supporting. shadowblade - any idea why your system should behave differently (better) in this respect than others? You're not the only one to report this, but it certainly seems to be only a small percentage that don't experience the hang in Poser 5. Did you get a later edition of Poser 5 that came on a CD with some or all of the SR's already installed, for example? Do you mind sharing your version number for Poser 5 (Help > About Poser), the latest version # via patching is v5.0.2 .281, do you have a later one? Or if your's is significantly earlier, it'd mean that the bug (feature) was introduced by an SR...

Ms_Outlaw ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 1:47 PM

Okay, guess I'm an idiot... I still don't get them to work at all... I've been thinking about reinstalling p5 anyway, so will give that a shot. I reinstalled m3 letting it go where it wanted, but none of the inj poses work. Only have p5 on. Wonder how much of a hassle this is going to be? oh well... deletes and cringes.

Jaager ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 2:28 PM

Someone else want to verify this: For P5 only: Place the !DAZ folder in the primary Library only. The INJ poses will work from any remote Runtime - there does not need to be a copy of !DAZ anywhere but in the main Runtime. For Poser 4, there will still need to be a copy of !DAZ in this Library if you wish to use both programs. It looks like the maximum number of copies of !DAZ you will need is 2 and this is only if you are still using both P4 and P5. If you are only using P5 then just one copy is necessary, and the character injections can still be scattered through multiple satellite Runtimes.

queri ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 4:11 PM

Ok, since Daz is obviously not supporting Poser 5 beyond bsre necessities, let me get this straight. Can I install M3 into his own runtime and then Move his !Daz files into my main Poser 5 Runtime folder for this??? Can I do the same for V3? I am going to be reinstalling Poser 5 and 4PP on my new computer and need to know this. Little problem for his morph packs as they are all !files. Hmmm, wonder if that also applies to the Rdna Inj stuff for Macrocosm and LaRoo??? Emily

Ms_Outlaw ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 4:48 PM

Moving the !daz file out of the directory did not work, came up with an error message. Now have mike 2 and 3 in it's own runtime vic 3&3 in their own etc.... seems to be working, but really slow injecting. Each have thier own 1daz folder in their librarys.

Spit ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 6:24 PM

The same for the RDNA stuff too. Same principle. If you have both P4 and P5 have a copy of the !DAZ folder in each's basic runtime. That's all you have to worry about. Doesn't seem to matter what runtime you have the inj poses in as long as the !DAZ folder is in the basic runtime for P4 AND P5. Just remember to install updates to BOTH !DAZ folders!

Jaager ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 8:06 PM

The reason that P5 takes so long to inject V3/M3 morphs when eventhing is in a remote Runtime is probably because it is looking in the main Runtime no matter where the pose file with the readScript path is. The readScript must be working at a basic level of the coding, since it is outside the cross-talk protection level too.

yggdrasil ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 8:27 PM

You should put the !Daz folder in Poser5-Runtime-Libraries, the M3 and V3 (latest updates) inj/rem poses can then be run from any runtime/folder structure of your choice. Some third party inj poses wich make calls to the Daz pz2 inj in poses will stop working if the !V3 or (presumably) !M3 folders are moved out of the root of poses in the P5 runtime, but they can be fixed by editting the files to make calls to the !Daz folders directly. -- Mark

randym77 ( ) posted Thu, 11 September 2003 at 8:47 PM

I just bought M3, and installed him. Though copying (not moving) the !Daz folder from PP to P5 worked with V3, it did not work with M3. I was able to inject the morphs in PP and save the figure to my library, then use it in P5. Very strange problem....

dialyn ( ) posted Fri, 12 September 2003 at 8:18 AM

And opened up my fully injected Mike3 into Poser 5. Tried to change the dial settings. Nothing happens. Underwhelmed with M3 so far.
