AgentSmith, First off, thank you very much for this offering. This material is extraordinary. Secondly, thank you for giving Vue a chance. I'm a Vue/Brycer and I've found it hard to read the Bryce forum of late due to the frothingly negative comments about Vue. It seems that nerves have been strained with Corels latest problems. The only response I have for those comments is, I'd like to see any of them try to duplicate this Vue render with a pack of crayons. :) This is really great stuff. I hope I can reverse engineer it and get some incite into Vue materials.
Wow, very cool materials, AgentSmith. Thanks for your generosity. Looks to me like all your experience in the Bryce DTE is paying dividends in the Vue material editor! Personally, I think there's room for both Bryce and Vue. Different strokes for different folks, as the saying goes. I hope things go well with the new owners of Corel as far as continuing support of Bryce is concerned. I don't use it much myself anymore, but every once in a while I take it for a drive and still have fun with it.
Well, trust me, take anything you may read about Vue in ANY other forum with a grain of salt. I've been biting my tounge over the "bryce is dead" chant that I've ran across in many forums, lol. Yeah, tear that material apart and make more/different, do whatever you want with it! The Bryce DTE was a tough one to get through, but since that, I seem to quickly understand other programs procedural editor's, even the high end apps, which I think are just now truly catching up to what Bryce and Vue have been able to do with procedurals. (imo) Absolutely room for both Vue and Bryce. The gui's are SO different, it lends itself to being people's choice of either vanilla or chocolate, it's just which taste do you like better? As far as Corel goes, perhaps the best thing that could happen is the sale of Bryce to Ken Musgrave (one of the creators of Bryce and creator of MojoWorld). It's assimilation into MojoWorld could be the best of both worlds coming together. Who knows? Enjoy the .mat, I will get around to making some more (at some point, lol) AgentSmith

AgentSmith, would love to see Doc Mojo get hold of Bryce. I think that would be an incredible thing for both Pandromeda and Bryce users. Will keep my fingers crossed!
Djeser... The only draw back for Pandromeda,in acquring Bryce. It would take them at least 14 months to rebuild it from the ground up. The Bryce code is a disaster. If they do choose to take that challenge and they have the cash, and Corel just dosen't round file Bryce. Then in time there maybe a good Bryce product back on the market. Good Material AgentSmith... Spaz...
I'm just guessing here; If Pandromeda aquired Bryce, "Bryce" would likely be no more, but its code would be assimilated by MojoWorld. I don't know that for sure, but I would only assume this since why would Pandromeda work on building up a 2nd program that would just compete with their own MojoWorld? Only Mr. Musgrave knows for sure, lol. AS

My studies with Vue are far behind, thought I would offer up the first material I had made, painted/chipped/dripping metal. Enjoy. AgentSmithContact Me | Gallery | Freestuff | IMDB Credits | Personal Site
