Guitta if you read what I said , I am not including that sales tax (VAT-BTW-Mehrwertsteuer etc) in the calculation, I'm talking about the bare bones price. 2 years ago (upgrade from Vue 3 to Vue 4) when the Dollar was high against the European currencies they made 110% sure you paid the full Dollar value and you can bet they had their calculations straight, this time round the Dollar is weak and $299 would mean only 270, so now E-on is conveniently unable to find a calculator.
Business hat on... Direct pricing gets set on a per market basis according to the target price that we feel is about right for the market. Of course, distributors and resellers set their own pricing. The result of that is sometimes its cheaper to buy in one market over the other. There were several months in which it was cheaper to buy Vue 4 in Japan. Most vendors (ourselves included) set a USSRP (United States Standard Retail Price), then allow their subsidaries to release according to their own markets. As long as there isnt a greater than 20% difference then there usually isnt a very big impact. This is to allow for fluctuations in currency. Regarding downloads -- Vue Pro is just too big. Also, we dont want to expose our flagship products any more than necessary to the download market because of the piracy factor. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

I already answered this question above. Our European marketing staff determine the ESRP price. They take into account a market correct target number that approximates the price in North America. Location is a factor, but there are many more, including currency fluctuations. If we had to ship from North America to Europe, the difference in overall cost would be much higher, and we'd still have to collect VAT. Best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

E-ON is shipping VUE Pro, Upgrade from Vue 4 for US customers $299 Upgrade from Vue 4 for Eu customers 299 aka $340 Upgrade from Vue 4 for UK customers 199 aka $320 I'm not even talking sales tax here (62) but why do we have to pay $40 more for the same product when buying from a local company and exchange rates don't apply?
