Subject: Free wingset looking for a host...?

I have built a set of wings for Poser. I would like to give them away, if anyone would like to host them. The figure uses "body handle" proxy parts and ERC for posing. The wings themselves have not been cut into parts. As far as I know, this technique has not been used before, although I may be wrong? They offer a fairly good range of motion, although there can be distortion or bad interactions with some dial combinations. They certainly flap, and I have been able to get them to fold fairly well with certain settings.... Although the feathers do "scrunch" instead of overlapping. :( The above image is not representative of the full range of motion. These are only five of the dials out of twenty-one. I cannot claim that they are fully accurate, anatomically. And the texture may be a bit loose when viewed closeup. I am not, sadly, Anton. :( This has been an experiment for me, a learning experience, and I hope they might be able to be of some use to someone. Lacking a host, I can e-mail them on request. The zip is about 650 KB.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Look rather good to me! :) I can host them from my web/ftp server if you'd like. I'm already doing for five other Renderosity members and, frankly, the more the merrier!

Thank you, kuroyume! :) I can e-mail them to you later today, perhaps tonight. It occurs to me that I should create a ReadMe and give the ERC dials descriptive names, rather than numeric labels.... I have had a terrible time in the past, trying to maintain a site to host files. AOL makes it difficult, cutting my connection whenever I try to upload anything larger than an image file.... Thank you!

Cage Send a copy my way? and I'll check the mapping and whip up some textures for ya to include if you like Lyrra@renderosity.com

That would be fantastic! My textures are sub-par, I fear. :)

Barring any catastrophes, my website and ftp server should be around for some years. Each user is given 100MB of storage and the connection is a decent speed (768Kbps T1). Take your time in preparation and email it to me when you are ready (don't forget the thumbnail image!).

Take your time in preparation and email it to me when you are ready (don't forget the thumbnail image!). Ooh! I'm gald you said that - I had forgotten the thumbnail image.... Doing some final organizing. I can send tonight, if not sooner. Hard to get a decent block of time online during the day.... Thank you! :)

They look excellent! Thank you very much for giving them away, it means a lot to us who don't have the money to buy every cool thing that ends up in the Marketplace. :) SnowS

If these haven't been posted anywhere, I'd like the zip... Great job!
