Subject: white eyed don

Ive had enough of P5. Every time i export a figure the eyes are missing, pure white, no iris or pupils. Whats up with that? exporting as .obj, as I always have in P4. Tonight I did a Penny export in a poser pose, her hands had only half the texture on them and her neck was white.

When exporting you need to make the eyeball (probably lens cover) material transparent or add a glass material to it the eyes will then be visible. i'm not sure about your other problem maybe you are using a texture that is not for the model you are using.

really? so the eye has a cover over it? ok, thanks. Do i do that in Poser or in Bryce? (Using Poser 5) You're probably right about the wrong texture, Bryce said it couldnt find it and I went looking for it, i might have chose the wrong one. THANKS!!!!!!

that eye covering is very useful especially when exporting, you have to change it after importing in Bryce. glad to be of help :)

well Ive whirled and whirled and to no avail. There are 5 components to each eye. I glass textured them all one at a time, and hit undo after each time when the eye remained white, then tried the next component. Unfortunately Bryce numbers them right_eye_1, right_eye_2, etc, there is no lid cover called out. All in all, the eyes remained white...should I use another format besides .obj? I clicked the boxes for naming exact body parts, but it still numbers them in bryce.

Hi, I'm not familiar with bryce but this problem is similar in other apps, My advice woould be to go through each component and try applying the "DonBlueEyeHi.jpg" to all then experiment by making the top item transparent if that does not work then go on to the next. Also i'm not sure if you are using the grouper program that is in freestuff I think this program makes the obj ready to import to bryce and renames the materials accordingly so they are easier to find, I might be wrong so don't take my word for it. Btw i just checked and there are two of these that need to be transparent, the eyeball and the lenscovering. sorry if i'm not much of help.

I give up, now its all gray. im going back to Poser 4. I followed all the directions of grouper, made the conversion, imported the new obj grouper made and there are no mats or textures. Thanks for all your time Dash.
