Fractals F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 13 3:03 pm)
I'm new here, but, I read that anything that comes out of a fractal generator is okay. As for me, I have alot that don't look anything like fractals, but are. I like to take fractals and layer them until it looks like something else altogether. (Or, I'll go the opposite extreme and simply remove jaggies.)
What sort of fractals? Almost any sort! Even good old Mandelbrots do show up. grin We accept stuff from a wide variety of fractal programs, and yes, many don't look like 'traditional' fractals. Don't let that stop you from doing -your- style of fractal art, whatever that might be. Just have a good time fractal-diving!
The most fun and interesting thing to do with a mandelbrot set is to choose a tiny area and zoom in on it! Then by changing the method of coloring and the gradient, endless images are possible. The fractal gallery accepts anything generated by fractal software, and a few things that aren't. :) Tres
Fractals will always amaze me!

I noticed a lot of pictures here don't look like fractals (but I imagine they actually are, since after all they are posted here). My program does Mandlebrot fractals (I used to know of a function to do other sort of fractals, but I think that was a plugin). Would it be okay to post mandlebrot fractals or are you folks looking for more complex fractals?
