I'm just starting to work with M3 but I can't figure out why both the head and body have just a few controls. Where's all the old M2 controls for making him smile, blink, frown, etc???

Thanks for your responses. Must I puchase the head and body morph packages in order to get them. I'll check out the link. Thanks for sending it.

Yes. You will need to buy the Head and Body morph packages in order to get the 'basics'

Strange. Why didn't DAZ include the basic morphs? M3 isn't very usable without them. Anyway, I did get them. Thanks!

Why? Becourse this is a great way of making people cough up some more money ;o) V3 is the same. I guess we'll just have to get used to it

Why? Because the figure with all the included morphs would have been prohibitively large for many if not most people to download in a reasonable amount of time. I love my DSL but I'm well aware that many people can't get it in their area, or can't afford the cost. Why? Because the morph INJ and REM technology is a really cool thing that allows you to use only what you need, thus decreasing file size and potentially increasing render time. There are those who are working on older or less powerful systems who would probably experience freeze-ups if they tried to render V3 or M3 with all the morphs. The REM function permits them to use only the morphs they want to, making crashes less likely. Why? Because the figure with all morphs would have been more expensive, disallowing some people from purchasing it. As released, people can buy the components for V3 and M3 as they can afford them. That's what I did ... base mesh one week, head morphs the next, body morphs the next week. Much easier on my budget that way. Even if you buy the base figure and all the morphs at once, you're getting a great deal, considering the high quality and the fact that there's no such thing available anywhere else at such reasonable prices. I didn't have Poser when Victoria 2 was released, but I've read many times that V3 and M3 with all the morphs were ultimately less expensive than V2 in initial release. I don't know why there's still cynicism about the unimesh's morph tech. It's a good thing, not a money-grubbing scheme. :-)

Oh I know my post could be taken that way. But it really wasn't my intention. I couldn't wait to have a "fully functional" Mike 3 so I forked over the full amount at once. It halped that I had some vouchers though G but still. I don't know what to say about the reduced filesize though, Sure it's easier on initial download, but the file COULD have been split up. An I allways load me "Mike3AllMorphs" when I start a pic, just as I do with my V3AllMorphs, becourse I neer know in advance WHICH morphs I am going to need. And I know I could then make an injection to inject excately those morphs. I just don't DO that :o) Guess I'm lazy. And I like the idea of the Unimesh. For one thing it lets you share textures which I think is an awesome benefit.

Sorry if I misunderstood you, ernyoka1. I did see your smiley and "got" the humor. I just wanted to provide a little defense of how DAZ handled V3 and M3. No biggie. :-)

You should get the basic expression morphs included with M3, they will probably be in the Poses library under !M3 Expressions INJ and !M3 Expressions REM. It does state on the product page and the readme that comes with M3 that you get these morphs. The morphs required to change features and shape are in the morph packs that you have to buy separately.

Thanks raven. I have figured it all out now even though I did purchase the additional head and body morphs from DAZ. Actually I'm glad I did the basic M3 is so much more limited without them. Thanks!
