I rather suspect this will be the record holder for most characters used in a render :-)Siege is fantastic but as with OneShot's great pictures, not rendered IN poser. Poser chokes much faster.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.
In a single scene, without compositing in Photoshop, five assorted Vicky2, one Vicky3 and three Mike2. I reckon I could squeeze more by using the same texture for each Vicky2 instead of a different one for each. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=445804&Start=1&Artist=Replicant&ByArtist=Yes I can do a bit better than Farside for V3. Three Vicky3 and three Vicky2 in the same scene. I could only get the scene to render after I increased my RAM to 2Gig. All figures using the same texture, although two versions of it thanks to Dark Whisper's UTC. http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=402023&Start=19&Artist=Replicant&ByArtist=Yes Any more than that and my machine gets all huffy and refuses to play anymore.

A guy testing P5 OS X said he put 34 Cr2s into a scene in an attempt to crash Poser, but he said he couldn't get it to crash. The biggest one I have ever done is an animation with 24 figures (all p4 figures). I never could render it in Poser, but had no problems rendering it in Cinema. It did take 24 hours and change to render 600 frames though. I can't post a link or pic due to the content, but if anyone is interested just send me a message and I'll give you a link to it. Ed

I did 29 of Thornes faeries. No post work, but rendered in Vue. Rendered on a Toshiba laptop with 512MB RAM, and 1.6GHz processor. It was a $749 two day special at Best Buy.Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=161564&Start=1&Artist=Virus&ByArtist=Yes
I'm agreed 100% with Gorodin, never render in Poser :) Other usefull trick is to use low polygonal figures for long shoot scenes, I used more than 200 for the crowd at this picture:SAL9000 - Hello Dr. Chandra, Will I've dream?

I'm currently working on one that has around 20-25 character figures in it. Not including props, what's the most you've ever worked with in a single scene?
