Subject: Looking for a tutorial

Using Poser5 (SR3) and looking for a tutorial on creating a model from scratch. I posted a message looking for a model of the mouth, throat and tongue but couldn't find a complete model thats compatible w/P5. (BTW Thanks to those who provided links, even though I didn't find the model I needed, I did find some bits and peices that were helpful.) I have looked in the Poser tutorials on this site, and did a search but couldn't find a tutorial, so if anyone knows where to find a tutorial a link would be appreciated. Note this isn't a model of a figure or person, but rather a medical model for rendering anatomical pictures of the mouth/throat so the model doesn't need to be too complex. Also texture and bump maps would need tro be made too so maybe I should get tutorials on those also. Thanks Lz

It just occurred to me that a tutorial may not be enough for what I need, if thats the case, can anyone suggest some good books on the subject?

well I'm not sure..........I'm still learning myself but if you find one please share! I'm using the photorealistic tutorials I bought here to learn how to make more photorealistic models. --Essie

If you want to make a model from scratch, you'll need a modeling program. Poser will work once you made the model, but Poser doesn't create them. I have a very superficial tut up with links to some free modelers. Check it out if you like.

EricofSD, Thanks for the link, that is a great site! I will need to take a little time to go over it in more detail. I also landed a free evaluation copy of Rhino(expensive software to buy, but not bad compared to some) But everything at that link is either freeware or shareware but I guess I'm not telling you anything you don't already know lol Thanks for your help, I hope your seeing this PandaPride :)
