I'm not sure what e-on's rules for this are. You really should talk to them about this. In my experience with other products an educational licence gives you the exact same software that the regular version does but the terms of use agreement is different. You can't use it for commercial use and sometimes you have to prove that you;re a student or faculty at an educational institution. But to be sure ask e-on.
As a proof can I fax my student ID card (photo will be blacked out though). And when you say somercial stuff what exactly u mean? Can I use it for school/personal projects? how are the renders? does is render with a nasty watermark saying "educational lic"? My high school had maya edu lic and it rendered with a nasty watermark. How would you stop a person if he/she wanted to use edu lic for commercial use? and do you have any way of finding out what lic was used to make something? the reason I am asking this is for my own knowledge. I might be getting edu lic cuz I cannot afford full lic. please fill me in lynn. Thankyou.

"And when you say somercial stuff what exactly u mean?" - You can't make money from images or objects made with the software; directly or indirectly (indirectly = creating an image that advertises your services). "Can I use it for school/personal projects?" - usually yes, as long as "personal projects" does not mean "personal money making projects" (see example above). "how are the renders?" - sorry I'm not in a position to know ;-) "does is render with a nasty watermark saying "educational lic"?" - sorry I'm not in a position to know, but I doubt it ;-) "How would you stop a person if he/she wanted to use edu lic for commercial use?" - if you are the one buying the license, then you would make students aware of the license agreement (3DS Max, has a splash screen to remind students). You may have to devize your own penalties on students that flout the agreement i.e. expulsion. "and do you have any way of finding out what lic was used to make something?" - it may be possible for the program to write something in the header of a file. Hope that gives you some idea jot. Cheers

If I get Vue 4 Professional - Complete Product (Windows, Educational License), will I be missing out on ANYTHING? I am a student and cannot afford the full cost. And also which email do I use to contact e-on about these matters?
