Are you using P5? I do and find that canceling when rendering in the same window is not a problem. However, canceling a render in a new window will result in a "hang". I guess the newest update is suppose to help with some of that, but I never installed it as I pretty much know how to maneuver around the few nuances that P5 has since I updated with the 2.1 or 2.2 updates. I don't have the time to learn new nuances right now :)
heyas; DONT DO IT! first, it takes just as long to cancel the render as it does to just finish the blasted render ;) now, it used to work, for me, real good when p5 first came out, and it would cancel right away, nice and neat. but not these days. if you start to render and realize you made a boo-boo, just let it finish and then fix it ;)

I have found that when I cancel during Rendering it takes it a very long time to cancel. As of this moment, I had canceling a rendering and it's still sitting there. Does this happen to anyone else? And is there a way to prevent it? --Essie
