If this is the early stages, then the final stages will be amazing! Great job so far. Is it M2 or M3?

n0s4ra2 ( ) posted Sun, 12 October 2003 at 11:14 PM

Whada mean "Should Work"?? Get back in there and MAKE it work!!!

RawArt ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 8:43 AM

"Whada mean "Should Work"?? Get back in there and MAKE it work!!! " I think what he means is if you have purchased Mike3 the option will be available to use this character. (yeah...I know it is kinda cryptic LOL)

igohigh ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 11:42 AM

Now Rawnrr out of dungeon?!? We WANT him and we Want him NOW! You two slaves Get Back In There and get your bullish pug noses back to the grind stone! We don't want to see you out of the dungeon untill he's Finished!! by the way, did I mention you do FANTASTIC work?

RawArt ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 12:10 PM

LOL! flattery will get you everywhere Its supposed to be a holiday here today...but for you...eh...I guess I will work on this smirk

jaybutton ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 1:28 PM

Texture Suggestion :) Rawnrr- Please give the Minataur a blck hide. Most Minataurs are pictured that way. (A lot of bulls look that way, too.) Thanks! Jay

RawArt ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 1:54 PM

I will attempt a couple of textures, however black is very difficult to work with because with fur you need to have strongly contrasting elements in order to give it the depth needed to have it look like fur. But i will try to get it as dark as I can

Lyrra ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 3:40 PM

Since the chances of this being free are nil :) and BTW? amazing morph work so far! Lyrra

RawArt ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 5:19 PM

But this is a WIP.....not a showcase product. Maybe when it is done it should be moved to showcase...but this was posted to ask for opinions. Or can people only ask opinions on products which shall be free?

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 6:30 PM

Rawnrr ... sadly opinions are only for free stuff now. Even if nothing is shown, just a questionaire. And since I don't really think WIP's belong here it kind of kills any feedback ..

RawArt ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 7:21 PM

ya know....I never saw a place work so hard to make things unappealing for members of their community. Which is very sad, because I always stuck up for and enjoyed this place this place. If I was a conspiracist, i would say they have an insider working to drive people to the other forum sites LOL

Since it is not my picture I will just post a link to it. This is how I picture Minotaurs too look.

Yep ...

Lyrra ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 10:33 PM

Rawnrr well, we had been giving people slack to post commercial WIP in the Poser forum, but it was sorely abused. So .. no slack for a while. sorry about that, and hopefully things will be calm enough soon to let some slip by again Lyrra "The They in Them" Madril

igohigh ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 11:26 PM

Uh Oh, I don't think a Minotaur that size needs to 'slip by' he just Bullies his way on through! ;p

RawArt ( ) posted Tue, 14 October 2003 at 8:15 AM

thanx for the pic Nyguy, I think you'll be pleased with the textures being developed for it :) Sorry for the snotty comment Lyrra, but I am just finding this site harder and harder to work with...it used to be alot of fun, so it makes the fall harder from how nice it used to be. But I guess you all are trying your best. Feedback is a big part of my development process when putting projects together, so I guess I will have to content myself with looking for that on other sites.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Tue, 14 October 2003 at 1:50 PM

Some feedback: Ditch the ring in the nose. NOBODY leads a minotaur around on a leadrope. He'd be a herbivore, not a carnivore, if he was half bull, especially in the face. Therefore the teeth need to change (front teeth bigger for pulling tough grasses). I like the horns, but you may wish to look at pictures of Cretan "bulldancers" to get a better idea of how they were positioned... since this was a creature from Crete. When you do textures, they shouldn't break cleanly between man and monster (I snicker at most mermaid packs)... textures should flow as though the creature was born and grew into this shape. All in all a very good and much more realistic approach to the subject. Carolly

I am sure the nose ring will just be a smart prop..to be added and removed as one wants. and dont worry about the clear division in body textures, it shall be blended nicely here is a sample render of the body textures (in a very early stage).....no worries this figure will also be morphed to have beast legs as well....I just test the textures on the base model. Arendar ( ) posted Tue, 14 October 2003 at 8:01 PM

Hmm...is this an an "add-on" pack for the upcoming DAZ unimesh-based "Freak" character? From the size of the shoulders, chest, thighs, hands and feet, it certainly can't been the M3 "wimp" with DAZ's existing muscular body morphs. Nevertheless, it's looking good and I can't wait! ;-P About the nose ring, you might want to make it a smart prop, i.e. for those who might want a choice to leave it on or not. Cheers!

n0s4ra2 ( ) posted Tue, 14 October 2003 at 8:34 PM

Thanks for all of your input it is very appreciated. As of now I am thinking ether morphing horns or maybe 2 or 3 sets of horns. One set of horns will be broke. Just in case he gets in to battle. He will have some smart props including the shown nose ring. Thanks again guys back to the dungeon I go.

n0s4ra2 ( ) posted Tue, 14 October 2003 at 9:02 PM

hauksdottir--- I agree on the option of different style horns. The ones in the pic are more fantasy. So one set will be more real. Also I agree on doing teeth morph. I will look in to that. If anyone runs across bull teeth pics please let me know

ElorOnceDark ( ) posted Tue, 14 October 2003 at 11:47 PM

Wow! Looks great so far! Excellent work!

RHaseltine ( ) posted Wed, 15 October 2003 at 6:19 AM

If the minotaur wasn't a carnivore what did it do with all those Athenian youths? You need only so many horn-polishers and muck-shovellers.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 15 October 2003 at 2:34 PM

for RHazeltine... real life bulls have been trampling and goring over-eager young men from the ancient Roman arenas to the streets of Paloma (or wherever it is) without once tying a bib around their shoulders and tuckering down to some longpig. We humans don't eat most of what we kill and we are omnivores.

jaybutton ( ) posted Wed, 15 October 2003 at 3:44 PM

Will this morph be usable with both M3 and the Freak? Jay Hopes the answer is yes
