LOL If Urotsuki Doji didn't scare you off you are allright. ^- Lain didn't hurt your head? ^^ A lot of women seem to be drawn in by Vampire hunter D(shrugs) Of the Gundam available in the US I highly recommend 0080, and 0083, and Char's coubnterattack (though it won't make much sense without watching the original series at least.) The first 2 are side stories that require no Gundam knowledge to enjoy. DSadly I can't really reccomend the US release of MS Gundam (the original series) since it's dub only and all the sound effects were redone in a terribly slapshod manner. I do reccomend the movie compilations of the series tho. If you want something more Fanciful and less realistic, Gundam Wing is very good and exists in it's own universe. It also has a sizeable female fanbase.
Well D is rather drool-worthy and kewl. :D Yeah, Urotsuki was something. I discovered Hentai mixed in with the regular stuff. Though Akira had a dash of that tentacled demon bit. :) I really enjoyed the AniMatrix. I will keep an eye out for the original Gundam and go from there, thanks. :)

It's pretty easy to follow. There's a tutorial for putting TenTen's head on Judy and one for Vicki. You can use either tutorial, IIRC, and just substitute the appropriate figures. I did a LaRoo head on V3. I did have to move LaRoo around a bit so I did not check the "As Morph Target" box so the physical location change took effect. Cheers!I spliced AnimeDoll's head onto V3 and M3. V3 worked properly following the tutorial because everything loads so they align properly. (Well, P5 kept screwing up the exports and after 2 hours of troubleshooting I went to PPP where it worked properly on the first try. Sigh)
To put AnimeDoll's head on M3's body, that took more work. I loaded up M3 and AnimeDoll at the same time. I kept M3 where he was and moved AnimeDoll around until the head was in the correct spot. I exported M3 as per the instructions. For the AnimeDoll head, I did NOT check "As Morph Target." I imported the body and head as instructed and exported it as AnimeM3.obj. Again, I did NOT check "As Morph Target."
I hacked up the M3.cr2 and V3.cr2 files within an inch of their lives, going way beyond the Yamato tutorial. (Then again, I have AnimeDoll's morphs and eye props with M3/V3's morph INJ capability.)
When I loaded AnimeV3 - it worked properly as everything was aligned before I started. JP's were nice and happy. M3 was a bit of a pain - I had to mess with the head JPs because the head alignment was different than the original file.
I don't know if I can redistribute the AnimeM3.cr2 or the AnimeV3.cr2 files. I'd have to check with DAZ and StudioMaya. If anyone wants instructions on where and what to hack, I can put that together in a few days.
Here's a quick and cheesy render of AnimeM3. I desparately wanted to use the Project Z stuff so I kept at it until it worked.

BTW - with some V3 clothing, you can get them to work with AnimeDoll with some tweaking, usually reducing the X Scale and increasing the Z scale, especially in the chest/torso area. The Juliet dress, for example, isn't that hard to play with, if you're not animating. I'm sure a magnet master could make a magnet set to get clothes to fit properly. (That would not be me!)
I'll try to get a real tut up in a few days. V3 is actually easier than M3 for this tutorial. The head and body line up properly so you won't need to tweak the eyes or the head JP.
When I talk about a block, I mean look for a specific phrase, then grab it and everything that follows it within the curly braces.
The prop AnimeEye1_1:1 block would be:

Quick and dirty (emphasis on dirty, not quick) .cr2 hack that I did:
For V3, follow the Yamato tutorial as writ. (I did not use the neck part. It may work better with that neck, it may work well enough with the V3 neck. Try which ever one you want.) For M3, follow the Yamato tutorial but move AnimeDoll around until her head fits over M3's body properly. I did not use the new neck they provided. It may work better than the V3 or M3 neck, I don't know. For the head export, do NOT check "As Morph target." You need to get the location change recorded. When you import the two items together, export them as one unit (like the tutorial) but again, do NOT check "As Morph target."
I saved my hybrid as :Runtime:Geometries:DAZPeople:AnimeM3.obj so if you save your hybrid differently, please change accordingly.
Open up AnimeDoll.cr2 and M3 sr1.cr2 in a text editor, preferably in separate windows so you can quickly go back and forth. You'll be cutting from AnimeDoll and pasting into M3.
Save the M3 sr1.cr2 under a new name. Mine is AnimeM3.cr2. Do it right away so you don't hate yourself later. ;-)
In the new AnimeM3.cr2 file:
Replace the two lines that say ":Runtime:Geometries:DAZPeople:blMilMan_m3.obj" with ":Runtime:Geometries:DAZPeople:AnimeM3.obj" This tells the .cr2 file to load your hybrid mesh.
At the end of the actor blocks (actor lToe:1 is the last one), add:
prop AnimeEye1_1:1

This adds the eyes to the file.
Highlight and delete the entire "actor head:1", "actor leftEye:1" and "actor rightEye:1" blocks.
In AnimeDoll.cr2
Highlight and copy the entire "actor head:1", "actor leftEye:1" and "actor rightEye:1"
In AnimeM3:
Paste the "actor head:1", "actor leftEye:1" and "actor rightEye:1" block that you copied from AnimeDoll.cr2 in the hole that you made deleting the original ones from AnimeM3. (i.e. between "actor neck:1" and "actor rCollar:1")
In AnimeDoll.cr2:
Copy the "prop AnimeEye1_1:1" and "prop AnimeEye1_2:1" blocks. They're located after "actor lToe:1".
In AnimeM3.cr2:
Paste the "prop AnimeEye1_1:1" and "prop AnimeEye1_2:1" blocks just after "actor lToe:1".
At the end of the "addChild" statements, add:
addChild AnimeEye1_1:1
leftEye:1
addChild AnimeEye1_2:1
rightEye:1
Now look at all the materials listed after the weld statements. Delete all the materials that have to do with M3's head. (SkinHead, SkinScalp, etc.)
In AnimeDoll.cr2:
Copy all the materials that have to do with the head.
In AnimeM3.cr2:
Paste in all the materials from AnimeDoll that have to do with the head.
Whew! Save that pup!
The .cr2 is done, you'll just need to do some minor tweaks for M3. (AnimeV3 shouldn't need these last few steps.)
When you load up AnimeM3, you'll notice that the eye props are missing. They're actually just misplaced. You'll need to select each one and change the positioning. I ended up with xTrans of .021/-.021 (left/right eye), yTrans of .023, and zTrans of .013.
Also, the neck may not bend properly with the head. Select the head and open up the Joint Editor window. You'll see a green/red X appear. Move it up a bit. (Sorry, I didn't record how far up.) You can test it by bending the head after each tweak of the X. When the neck bends smoothly with the head, you've got it. (I got it on the first try, so it can't be that difficult.)
Resave the character into the library. Ta Da!
Like I said, this ain't easy, but if you take your time and follow these steps, you'll get pretty good results. If anything is not clear, or if I missed something, please let me know.

Copy/Paste from other post: The joint parameters (JPs) got messed up a bit. Select the collar and go to Window: Joint Editor. You'll have to play with the settings a bit to get it to work right. My guess is that the Bend Falloff sphere needs to be adjusted slightly. I'm almost a newbie with JPs so I can't be more specific than that. Once thing I'd try is loading V2 and your hybrid into the scene at the same time and see if there's any difference in location between the two meshes. P5 was a bear for me - it kept subtly moving V3 around which seriously hosed up the JPs. I gave up and went to PPP and it worked perfectly the first time. I had to adjust the JP's slightly with my AnimeM3 because the head was higher up than in the original mesh so the neck kept breaking apart until I fixed the JPs accordingly to include the neck. Ah never mind! I figured it out. I had forgotten the Morph Manager part of it doh! Now my AnimeV3 has all the morphs she/he could ever want :)

did you need to move animedoll's head when fitting to V3. It looked to me after starting the tutorial that it could stand being moved forward a bit to get rid of the sharp edge where the head meets V3's neck. I sure wish some one of great modelling skill would make a custom neck part for AD/V3 Laike yamato's TT/V3 neck part. :(
I didn't move anything. Yes there's a crease but so far I haven't been able to see it on any of my renders. It seems to dissapear quite nicely when you're rendering with the toon shader or using Cartoon with Lines. In any case, the crease is at the neck and well... my characters usually have hair ;o) AND they're not usually seen from behind. But I'm sure either Yamato or Maya (or someone else) will create a fitting neck piece all in good time :o)

I haven't seen Gundam yet. I've seen Tenchi, Neon Genesis Evangelion (my head!) Lain, Ranma, El Hazard, Bastard, Pokemon grin, Legend of the Overfiend (err...blush), Key :The Metal Idol, and a bunch more. My main attractions were Vampire Hunter D & Ninja Scroll. :) BTW Loved the Record of Lodoss War... & I'm 28. :)
