Good stuff - looks like one of those light weight small sort of dragons. I like the overall shape pof the head around the jaw and eye sockets. Cool stuff.

Great! First dragon model I've seen that doesn't look like a dinosaur with wings.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

This dragon concept came to me from a blend of my own internal Fireball trying to escape, and a bit of inspiration form Starcraft. SURE, the Protoss didn't have any dragons, per se, but if the DID, would it look like this? On my upper back, covering perhaps as much as 30% of my back total, is a tattoo which me and Stone, my inker, drew together in a night or two. Our only collaberation, painstakingly drilled into my body's largest organ. Feel the pain. By the way, does anyone know who Bahamut ZERO is?
Sort of Loch Ness Monster so far......really great stuff...!

And in my final hours - I would cling rather to the tattooed hand of kindness - than the unblemished hand of hate...

Aye, here's a quick (hour-and-a-half) render of an alien dragon head I've been working on. THe concept is ages old, it's tattooed on my back and has been since 2000. Making it in 3D has been elusive, until tonight. I did this model in Rhino in about 15 minutes. Tools used : Sweep2, and Mirror. There are some bad seams, and it's only going to get better, but I wanted to see it rendered soooo bad! Let me know what you think...! The model is almost done. I'll do the boning later, in Lightwave, and after that the sky's the limit! Look forward to seeing fully animatable, ORIGINAL, dragon models... This is one of the reasons I got into 3D in the first place. I love the DAZ models, but could never use them in my own "original" art. Bryce 5 render, Rhinoceros for all the modeling. 165 radial lights produce the sweet, soft shadows, and the ridiculous render time... Next up I'll make the jaw separate, and posable. I am not trying to look down on people who don't model their own stuff, although I find it unacceptable I know not everyone has access to Rhino. But I am trying to push myself, and part of that is making all of my own props and materials. Entire scene done by me. No cloning-of-other-artists necessary, this time. (sorry, Vasquez!) ((GRINS!))
