Well, i don't really know how Guitta has done this. Normally she does not use any postwork techniques. In the a l'oree du bois the effect from my pov comes from the selection of objects and materials. All orientated in a similar direction. But i could be wrong. One possibility to get an effect you are demanding is, to position a plane directly in front of the camera. Give it a very transparent but structured texture (material). I have done it in my Vue Gogh image for example. But try it out simply!
One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.
Guitta made this fantastic render like painting with a very simple way...i think:) if u use alot o f anbient and lots of fog and volumetric lights around of your scene and of course and Volumetric atm...and if u render your scene in brondcast you take this effect in your scene.... but you must carefully where you shall put your volum lights... This my opinion ..... if Guitta shall come for her vacation ask her for more details:) Benettor

The (unwanted:-)) brush stroke effect comes from the light (greenish) and some fog (yellow) used. Maybe also from the material I have used for the grass. I have created it in a very long work (at least 1 hour) inside the material editor. Hope this helps. Guitta
Merci Philippe:-)
And congrats for your spotlight too, as you are THE movie maker here:-).
Many spotlights to see:

I've noticed a few Vue artists who get an almost impressionistic "brush stroked texture" for lack of a better word, in their renders. Guitta's *A L'OREE DU BOIS* comes to mind right away. My question is how to get this effect of brush strokes in a render? A bump map for the whole canvas? Or is it post work? i.e. Photoshop's Art History brush or something similar.
