The first version is [ here](http://www.renderosity.com/photos/GAL_200310/GalleryImage520671.jpg).

I received a lot of good feedback on the first version. For those who haven't read it:

nish liked the colors but not the lens flare and suggests working on the terrain textures.

Montanan says sharper textures up front would be nice.

Tintifax suggests that I lower ambient light levels and place more lights mannually to make the tree trunks and terrain pop better.

timefighter agrees with nish about the lens flare.

So I did a combination of all of those suggestions. I'm still not satisfied with the terrain textures and I'm hoping some of you may have some more suggestions to make it work better.

Think the trees look better now. You should add additional lights to make the scene a bit brighter. I think the texture on the terrain improved, though I'm not sure if you shouldn't try another one.

Thanks all. I'm learning a lot from you. WOW! I just looked at this on my computer at work. It seems MUCH darker here than on my monitor at home. $@&% cheap monitors at work LOL. I cant see ANY of the terrain details here but I could see them fine at home. One question, how can I separate one leaf from a tree and use it elsewhere? I'd like to scatter some leaves around. The default tree trunks in Vue 4 Pro look too perfectly round for my taste. They look like plumbing to me. One trick I learned is to take them into the plant editor and vary the scale of the bark texture. This will make the trunks look not so perfectly round.

Fantastic colors I tend to like the darker richer atmospheres, well done. Regards, `shoop

Grunthor; Bop on over to RuntimeDNA and do a search for 'scatters'. They have leaves, fireflies, and a few other detrius type poser props that should be importable into Vue with no trouble (I am assuming that the bird is Poser, btw).

Looks pretty darn good from my perspective. I agree that it's a tad dark under the trees, but that's just me. I'm still learning Vue, so I'd be interested to know how you changed the foliage to get that great yellow leaf color.

Thanks. I didn't really do anything with the trees. I just put the sun behind them so the light shines through the translucent leaves, brightening them up. It's just my personal taste I guess. I like a lot of contrast in my images. Which is why I left the shadows so dark.
