Exclusively? Many merchants offer products on multiple sites (I love that). The real jeans packs for Victoria 3 and Mike 3 are awesome...lots included, and helps fill the need for some real looking clothing (even includes comfy looking shoes...an item often overlooked).

The jeans packs will be a DAZ exclusive - that's standard for anything offered at DAZ. Most of the DAZ merchants do have products here as well, just not the same ones they sell through DAZ. Yeah, my credit card will be hurting this week, I can tell right now.

I guess what I meant was that the merchant wouldn't sell exclusively at Daz, but would still offer other products on other sites (I've been eying the spiffy sneakers on the Marketplace). You'd think I'd be a little more precise in my language, wouldn't you?

Billy-T is here my Top merchant, 13 of 132 products I purchased are from him (not include the texture packs I purchased here for his stuff)! It's great that he is now a broker at DAZ :) btw. Billy-T is renderosity Merchant of the month October! Mazak

Billy-T and Uzilite were easily my top merchants, I have just about everything they produced for Vicky & Mike 1-2. But once they went to V3/M3 only they might has well have died because I simply can't use the higher rez characters for what I need with the current level of computer technology. I still have their stuff on my wish lists & with hope when I get my Pentium 5 with 10GB of RAM, I'll be able to switch to V3/M3 & will quickly give them my money once again.

Very interesting. As you may or may not know, the MP recently changed the % of sales splits between the creator and the MP. MP increasing its share, sorta like Congress voting themselves a raise.

I guess it will come down to which is more profitable.... are there more sales on Renderosity than other sites? If so, do the additional sales make up for the MP increased share? If not, is there a value to having some items on Renderosity for the purposes of introducing items and then having others available on other sites to change shopping habits? Or is the profit in advertising other sites on Renderosity to pull customers over to other sites, and is that working over time? And do people stay on the other sites to shop there permenantly or do they shop out of interest rather than loyalty to one community over another? I don't know. I shop fairly evenly between Renderosity, Daz, RuntimeDNA, and 3D Commune, and meander off onto sites like Vista Internet, IW3D, PhilC's, Sams3D, etc. where interesting items are carried that no one else seems to carry. Love my subscription sites (PoserWorld and, yes, PoserStyle still). There are, of course, sites I don't purchase from for reasons not related to products which have no relevance here (never, say never...I won't say I will never buy there but the odds are remote at this moment). I'm no fool...I'll buy from the individual merchant if it is convenient for me to do so, but I do feel an obligation (no one has to share it) to support the communities in which I participate. Maybe that's just me. I doubt if my experience in shopping reflects any trends of buying habits. Survival will end up being which site can sustain itself over time. I bet we see a lot of changes in the next year or two. Change is the only certainty.
