As most of you know, I really like M3. I think he's a great addition to the character library. However, that said... One thing REALLY bothers me. It's really a small issue, and easily fixed, but it still bothers me. There's a very nice morph on the forearms for a glove line. I love it. Makes getting full gloves as a seperate figure a moot issue. This glove line isn't seperatly mapped though. So you have to either customize the texture for the forearm, or use the grouping tool to add another material. M3 (and V3) have tons of seperate mapping. Legs, torso, neck, scalp, hip. Great. Lets you have a lot of control using other materials for those parts and making it easy to cloth them in skin tight textures while leaving some parts with the body texture. Why couldn't they have added a material region for the gloves? ...sigh...

Quick note about the image. The belt is from teh BAM package, the cape, hair, and boots are also from Daz. Everything is P5 materials. And get the Warlords and Barbarian package. Nice morphs for M3 to add good musculature (even a square chest morph).

There's a lot of little things that they could have / should have done to M3 to bring it even close to the standard of V3 (muscle-based mesh, unique M3 morphs rather than transplanted V3 ones, e.g. shoulder morphs, especially after they changed teh defualt .obj shape), etc., etc., ...). But in this case perhaps the (oft-dreaded) Group Tool can come to your rescue (as Daz is unlikely too). Select just the part of the forearm that needs to be a glove and make a new material. You only need to do the foream, as you can use SkinHand for the rest. Select Forearm, choose a display mode that shows the polygons, open Group Tool, create New Group, select/de-select polygons to suit, then Assign Materials. Close Group Editor and lower part of arm should be a different color, and appear in Materials under your new name. Have to do for both forearms of course.

That's what I did, layingback. I'm just lazy and wanted Daz to do it for me. The only problem is now I want to make superheros. Don't worry, it's just a phase.

OK ;-) But I want them to do the SmlShoulder morph first - which I can't do :-( No issue with you doing superheroes, it's a free world (well was ;-) BTW, shouldn't you have checked the Nudity flag to be RPC? After all there is NOTHING covering M3's face, he's NAKID, NAAKEED!, his face is as uncovered as the day he was born :-O *RPC - Renderosity Politically Correct

i think it would be nice if they added more morphs that are the same as in m2 so we could continue to use our m2 stuff like the anime poses great pic

Hey, layingback, how about EERPC? His whole body is NAAKEED under his clothes!! That oughta count too. And, IMHO, it's at least debatable whether it ever really was 'a free world.' *EERPC = Exceptionally & Extremely Renderosity Politically Correct
