I had $35 of DAZ vouchers, so I bought the Millennium Girls and the M3 Bodysuit and still had change for the doorman. I take your point about the amount of brokered stuff, but OTOH, the vouchers are freebies, so you're not exactly losing out.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
Sometimes vouchers are given when customers ask for a refund on something. In that case, even if the returned item was brokered, then the voucher credit can only be used on DAZ originals. The good thing is that (I think) such vouchers don't expire. The bad thing is that if there are no DAZ originals that you want or don't already have, you have to sit on that voucher until a desireable new original item gets released. Just something to be aware of.

" Nope, not true. They give you a Gift Certificate and that is good on everything. I got a refund two month ago, that's why I know.

"Nope, not true." I'm sure you can trust that I didn't mean to speak untruth. :-) When I recently returned two items, I was offered a chargeback to my VISA, or a voucher. I specifically asked if I would be able to purchase anything with the voucher, and was told "DAZ originals only." The gift certificate you mention was never offered. Now I'm not such a happy camper. If I had been offered the gift certificate, I most certainly would have chosen that option. Hmmm ... Well, now, there's something more to be aware of. Grrrrr ... not cool. I'm usually a total DAZ-supporter, but this ticks me off. They will hear about it.
I just checked, and indeed you're right, tjs61822. Jeez, I could have sworn that it "went original" for awhile, because I remember being happy that I could get the PC discount on it. As you may know it was included in the PC renewal package, which furthers my suspicion that it was considered "original" for awhile. I'm pretty positive about this memory, but if I'm totally wrong for the second time in one thread, so be it, sheesh. Again, I'm almost certain that it was "original" for awhile. Hm, check this out ... the Short Curls Hairstyle, also by Michael, is now listed as "DAZ original," no mention of Michael's name. The Short Style Cut is listed both as "original" and "Created by Michael Lane." So there appears to be some status-switching going on with his creations, intentional or not. It's possible that this has to do with the ever-changing interface design over there. There have been lots of glitches, and still are some, as people have complained in their forums recently. For example, items being listed as being on sale when they're not, non-PC items appearing in that area, etc.
Daz is not advertising the vouchers as freebies. I've seen this statement a few times and it is starting to get to me. Daz is advertising that you pay XX dollars and with the vouchers of XX then your only really paying XX. It simply just is not true. If that WERE the case then you could apply the vouchers to the monthly payment of PClub renewal, or use them on anything. Now the FAQ on Daz's site about Vouchers has been updated. Daz says one thing in product advertisements and then after the fact they give you the real skinny. The early yearly renewal of PClub advertisement stated the $30 voucher and no mention of a time limit, yet, now that everybody has those they have to find some item to use it on or lose it. Only on Daz original products. Well after being a PClub member for a year, I pretty much HAVE ALL the original Daz products that are out that I want. Sucks that there is a time limit on it, I might have made a different decision has I had ALL the FAQs before I made a purchase. I love everybody pointing out all the items that you could use the voucher on. I didn't want that stuff before, now that I have a limited time voucher doesn't mean that I want that item anymore either. I also think that with all the brokers showing up at Daz that now it's becoming just another store. I feel this will also effect all the support since now Daz has so many items that they have no dealing with creating. I'm particularly insulted that Daz is buying up content to throw in PClub that was once sold on other sites by brokers. As a consumer I have already bought some of the items that Daz is putting in the PClub (Dodgers Robot comes to mind). Being in the PClub for a year, it doesn't help me one bit to have it in PClub, new members maybe however I bought it here at rendersoity for more than the PClub price, before it was in the PClub. I'm very unhappy about this whole new 'direction' that Daz is showing. Hence the rant. Someone new to Daz, PClub or the whole voucher system walkin in today wouldn't see this. Members that have been PClub members for the full year from the beginning and have watched the changes might better see where I'm coming from.

Oops, sorry, didn't mean it that way blush ;-).
But it's strange that you got a different refund than me. I had reported some problems with a brokered item I had bought - it rendered with black holes in P5 and the artists said there would be no reasonable way to make it work with P5's buggy render engine (what I think is really only a lame excuse) - and the tech support offered me a Gift certificate or money back. Maybe they changed that now?

Get a refund from Daz indeed- you can always get the refund on your credit card!- You don't need to take a voucher or a Gift Certificate. And I have been a member of the PC from the beginning and I like what they're doing. I hadn't bought Dodger's robot here, or most of Dark Whisper's stuff here, as I try to keep my Renderosity spending to a minimum.

Also remember that DarkWhisper is almost done with his Sara model, which is the COOLEST model I've seen in a long time (Koshini and Anime Doll included) Since his products apparently now are Daz Originals (at least the Arizona hair is - and platinum club too) I would think you can use the vouchers for that. And it should be out VERY soon according to what he sais on his own website :o)

new DarkWhispers Sara or new stuff if it shows up at Daz would be Brokered stuff and vouchers wouldn't apply. Old DW stuf that Daz has bought up as well as other content will be Daz original items. If these items show up in PClub then vouchers wont be able to be used on them. If you have bought them before at the original stores that they were brokered at then you wouldn't REBUY them at Daz now. I just don't like the practice or method that's happening, thats all. and the voucher system bites. check out the Daz forums, lots of the messeges are about issues with vouchers, questions etc. Since they have been introduced it has been a running discussion about vouchers and Daz.

Well, I never had so many coupons in my DAZ life, and there's never been so little DAZ originals to use them for. The last ones I liked and had use for, is Mike 3, almost two months ago. There's great stuff out at DAZ these days, but 99% of it is brokered, I personally can't spend money on Poser stuff these days, and coupons are no good for the brokered items. If once in two months is going to be the average for DAZ originals release, I don't know if i'll had much use for the coupons - or if they'll just expire before I can buy anything with them.
