Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 26 2:05 pm)
One thing to check is to make sure that you delete any lights that are "off" (they will show as black dots). Try deleting all lights before applying a light set...and the fewer lights the better until you get a feel for Poser 5. Traveler at RuntimeDNA has excellent light sets (for free) that never cause a problem (as far as I know).
There is still an issue when rendering animation, even after SR3. Lights will sometimes become animated by themselves, after making a change at a certain keyframe. So always, before commencing your render, check to make sure the light(s) did not add their own keyframe and if so, naturally delete it. Also, unchecking/checking ANIMATED under a light's properties will not always "stick." Not sure why, but P5 switches it right back. -Tim

I have a few lights that everytime I apply them they freeze up the render. Even if I am just doing a quick poser 4 draft render to check how they will look. It gets to the loading textures and never leaves that screen. I have waited up to 20 minutes just for a draft render. I am running xp with 512 ram with a Radeon 9600 128mb video card. Thanks for any help, Beth
