Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 02 10:01 am)
Hi! Thanks Philc for Your suggestion but whatever I do I can't get the line "Figure/Conform To" highlighted. I can attach things from the library but "dynamic clothing" does'nt work; I don't do anything fancy, only testing presets but something is really wrong...the manual couldn't help either...so my people will stay naked but they will have necklaces :-|

Are you using Poser 4 or Poser 5? Dynamic Clothing will only work in Poser 5. That being the case you may find the Poser 5 tutorials that I have written to be of help. Remember that even if you only intend to create a static pose you will still need to do an animation/simulation sequence to get the clothing to fit. There are two different types of clothes in Poser 5: Conforming Clothing and Dynamic Clothing. "Conform to" only works with Conforming Clothing, the ones you find in the Figures library. If the "Conform to..." option is not highlighted, you have most certainly loaded a Dynamic Clothing item from the Props library, they are intended to be used in the Cloth Room, as Phil describes in his tutorial above.
Attileus - As a beginner, I found it a lot easier to start with "conforming" clothing and not have to mess with the cloth room and those infuriating simulations, you may find the same. Of course, I started out working on my own without knowing about all the great help available here and on the other similar forums :) Drew

Hi, Poser friends! I'm a Brycer and lately started using Poser for some figures without outfit. Now I wonder what to do when I've got a simple garment on the screen with the figure properly posed; what to "click on" to get it attached so the garment moves with the poses?
Thanks for Your help!
Sincerely
Attila
