Subject: extremities

I made some conforming shoes for the toon kids models. Everything seems to have gone ok but when I apply an existing pose or a walk cycle from the toon kids library the toe bone ignores any bend rotations. The shin and foot rotations work fine. I can go and reset it manually with fresh keyframes for the shoe model rather than the controlling model but it defeats the purpose of conforming models. Has anyone else had extremities behave strangely? - more importantly how do I solve it? (Thanks in advance.)

Is IK turned on or off?

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I turn IK off but have tried it on as well and I get the same result. The foot moves to the appropriate position but the toe bone remains in alignment with the foot angle instead of bending to the position set in the previously saved pose.

How about your grouping? Are you sure there isn't a polygon in the toe that is by accident grouped with either the shin or the foot then? It can easily happen :o)

I'll double check but when I move the toe bone manually I don't see an polygons getting left behind. BTW thanks for showing an interest!
