Subject: Locking the camera height?

In Poser 5, is there a way to lock the height of a camera a fixed distance from the ground? I created a room, and I want to be able to set the camera at eye level (about 6 ft) and lock it at that height but still be able to move it around the room. Also is there a way to figure out distances,in feet,in poser?

Sure ... first ... Go to [menu]:
"Edit" ---> "General Preferences..." --->"Display Units" to Feet

Then ...
Open the Camera's properties and set yTran to 6.000 (feet).
Double click on the yTran parameter dial to open the Parameter Settings window and set the Min and Max values to 6.000 - then "Use Limits."

P.S. You may, also, want to lock the camera's xOrbit to 0 degrees. cheers, dg ;=]

Good tip, geep. It works well. Now..... perhaps you can answer my question in the tech forum. How do I change a camera's center of rotation to get a panoramic swing around a room? mac
