Subject: Silly Question? Is there any way to fit Koshini clothes to V3, V2, Steph etc?

I've noticed that Koshini has some very cool outfits & accessories. Has anyone tried using them on other models? Might be a dumb question, but as a newbie...I'm entitled to umm...2 or 3 dumb questions? (used up at least 2 already..lol...think DAZ will reset my balance if I call sales?)

Generally, clothes only work on the figure they are designed for. Sometimes they can be tweaked to work with others, but don't count on it. If there's something you really like, try IMing the creator and asking him or her to make a version for other figures. DAZ has a rep for good if rather distracted customer service. I'm sure they will fix the problem with the prematurely expired vouchers, if that's what you're talking about. You probably won't even have to call, since dozens of others will likely enlighten them about the problem first thing Monday morning.

randym77 is right...the keyword though is 'generally'. Sometimes with a bit of dial fiddling, resizing, etc., clothes can 'almost' fit other characters. Then you gnerally have to do some postwork to fill gaps and poke-throughs. The other problem that can arise doing this is the pose of the character...almost impossible to do much more than a normal 'static' pose. Experimentation is the best answer...have fun, you are not going to break anything [generally!].

lady littlefox has actually already addressed the question, and she will not be making non-koshini versions of her works. people have, however, used the clothes on vicki and the millenium girls with a lot of adjusting and parenting.
see this thread for some examples

sneaks up and mwahahahahahahahahahas Well not entirely true but close. I won't be making non-koshini versions of previous packs at the moment (though I may be making variations in the future ;P) Anyway, due to some incredible help I'm currently trying really hard to make V3 versions while my partner is making PreTeen Versions of upcoming Koshini packs(Huge hug to Thorne) The newest package at Daz, Blacker Magic, was originally made for Koshini but the Preteen got finished first... Kosh and V3 will be following soon in separate packages. Let me know if you like this idea.... Hopefully this'll be standard. Glad ya like my designs btw ;) Beams Littlefox

Yeah, but cobalt, not all of us are able to use magnets. I've been trying since day one, read all the tutorials, and I still can't get the stupid things to work they way they're supposed to. I'm magnetically challenged, I guess. :) And I'm not buying any more Koshini stuff until I can get versions of those gorgeous Lady of the Manor dresses (or conforming facsimiles thereof) for Vicky - ANY version of Vicky. Heck, I'd even settle for them working on Posette at this point. :) So there. Nyah. Kate The Stubbornly Childish

KateTheShrew: Have you tried Dr. Geep's tutorial on magnets? All his stuff is graphics w/o a lot of text stuff to wade through. All of his stuff is posted in PDF form at fallencity.com, and he has 2 or 3 tutorials on Magnets. P.S. Your Katie/Kate and Justin textures are still my all-time favorite Posette textures.

Yup, I've tried both Geep's and Traveler's magnets tutorials and I'm one of those brain challenged folks who just don't get it. sigh Same sort of problem I had with calculus - just can't seem to wrap my brain around it. Did fine up through Trig, but calc finally whupped my butt. :) Glad you like the Katie/Kate and Justine. Those textures, sad to say, aren't from scratch. They're just modified versions of the ones that came with Poser. Skin from scratch is another thing I can't seem to get the hang of. Clothes I can do, though. And walls. And furniture. But not hair. Can't get hair to turn out right yet, but I'm workin' on it. Kate
