The postwork technique I used was actually meant for animations. I applied it to a still-frame image instead. http://members.aol.com/forrestbro/how_cartoon.html Requires some additional setup time, and you have to render the animation twice then combine the two in a nonlinear video editor that supports layers (Premiere, AfterEffects, etc.).

Thanks. I'm not sure why the clips wouldn't play...could have been heavy network traffic, maybe? They seem to be playing fine now though. As for a tutorial, I'm currently finishing up one for Vue. As far as the programs go, it's my usual arsenal; characters all done and rendered in PPP, All backgrounds done in Vue. Finally everything composited together in Vegas Video...
