Subject: Jagged Thoughts

When I make terrains in bryce and import them into lightwave the poly count is so ridiculously high it makes my machine unbearable, also my landscapes seem to have very jagged edges, any tips on avoiding this?

In the terrain editor, go to the pictures tab and press the copy button of the first window. Paste this image into photoshop. Save it as a tiff. Open lightwave. Make a plane. Apply the saved image as a displacement map. tada.

yeah, but you'll obviously be losing detail. Click on the small E next to the terrain when selected, and in the new menu (whatever it's called), there's a 4x4 of small dots on the left bar. Clicking that will give you the option of reducing the resolution of the terrain. You know though, I'm pretty sure that you could get much much better results with Terragen. Drac
